The invention provides a substantially flat sieve material of metal with sieve apertures, in particular sieve apertures with microdimensions. The sieve apertures comprise at least one passage in the plane of the sieve material parallel to a main surface, while the inlet and outlet can open onto the same main surface or a different main surface. The invention furthermore provides a method for the production of such sieve material by means of electroforming techniques in which a sacrificial material is used.

A dispersion plate for dispersing a fluid includes two surface sides, a peripheral side and at least one through-opening which extends between the two surface sides, the opening including an inlet on one surface side, a passage, and an outlet on the other surface side, and the inlet, the passage and the outlet being delimited by an opening wall of the dispersion plate. The inlet, the passage and the outlet have a common longitudinal axis, the part of the opening wall delimiting the passage being substantially parallel to the common longitudinal axis, and the part of the opening wall delimiting the outlet, from the passage to the surface side where the outlet is located, being divergent relative to the common longitudinal axis. A method for producing a dispersion plate by electroplating is also described.

In an electroforming method for making metal products having a pattern of openings separated by dykes using a mandrel in an electroplating bath, metal from the bath is deposited on at least two electrically mutually insulated regions. Said regions comprise at least one main pattern for product dykes to be formed, which main pattern is electrically insulated from at least one ancillary pattern for a reinforcement to be formed. In the method according to the invention, first the ancillary pattern is connected to a current source in order to form reinforcement thereon and in order to effect an electrical connection between the ancillary pattern and the main pattern by means of the growing metal. During the continuation of the method, reinforcement is thickened and the product dykes are formed. A strong product having different thicknesses is therefore obtained in one step. A mandrel suitable for use in the method is also described.
