A system and method for remote device control are disclosed. A system incorporating teachings of the present disclosure may include a radio controlled toy and a controller for controlling the toy. In some embodiments, the controller may have an input mechanism and a housing component that defines a cavity, within which may be located a wireless wide area transceiver and a wireless local area transceiver. Some controllers may also have an operating system for the controller and an application resident on the controller and operable to convert inputs received via the input mechanism into commands for the toy. The controller may have a microprocessor operable to execute the application and to cause the commands to be communicated to the toy using the wireless local area transceiver.

Radio controller system and method for remote devices

In one aspect, the present invention includes loading and carting system having support mechanisms each including pairs of telescoping members extending away from each other and an object sling extending between the pairs. The system further includes a reversible platform to which the support mechanisms are mounted, where the platform includes on a first side thereof a set of base portions in which the support members are mounted and on a second side thereof wheel mounts to which wheels can be mounted. The first side may be configured to support a bulky object during a carting process and the second side configured to support the object during a loading or unloading process.

Loading and carting system

A device and method for loading bulky objects such as Kayaks, canoes and sailboards on a higher level. The device is an expandable and flexible platform to be used as an extra pair of hands for holding one end of the object and pivoting the other end on the loading platform such as a car roof. An expandable pole from a base with a platform on the top permits one end of an ungainly object to be fixed to the platform to hold and act as a pivot point. The flexibility allows for loading from multiple directions.

Loader device for assisting in lifting bulky objects

An inmate telephone for use by inmates of a prison or a mental institution comprises a housing having an opening and a telephone body supported within the housing. The telephone body supports an earpiece and a mouthpiece. The telephone body may have an inmate-adjustable portion that extends out of the opening and is movable to an inmate-adjustable position. The telephone body may have a generally spherical shape that is rotatable to an inmate-adjustable position relative to the housing. A height-adjustment mechanism may mount the telephone body to a wall of the prison or the mental institution to an inmate-adjustable height relative to the wall.
