According to an aspect, there is provided a light apparatus, the light apparatus comprising an outer housing comprising a translucent portion; a main light source positioned inside the outer housing for generating light, wherein light generated by the main light source is incident on the translucent portion; and a display light source positioned inside the outer housing for projecting information onto a part of the translucent portion on which light is incident from the main light source.

Wake-up light with adjustable LCD display

A device () comprises a source () for emitting ultraviolet light, an inlet () for letting in fluid to the device (), an outlet () for letting out fluid from the device (), and means () for performing a straightening action of a flow of fluid through the device (). The flow straightening means comprise at least one flow straightening element () having inlet openings for letting in fluid at one side and outlet openings for letting out fluid at another side, wherein each inlet opening is in communication with a plurality of outlet openings, and wherein the element () comprises a maze of randomly arranged, interconnected holes. In such a structure, a water element that is moving from one side of the element () to another side may take one of various paths, as a result of which variations in inlet conditions can be dampened.

Device comprising a source for emitting ultraviolet light

A compact gas discharge lamp () comprising four (or more) interconnected tube segments () is provided with an external electrode () that extends at least throughout the length of the tube segments and that is in contact with all tube segments. Several embodiments of the external electrode are disclosed. The external electrode is preferably connected to a node (C) midway between the lamp electrodes, to which end a capacitive divider () is arranged in parallel with the lamp.

Dimmable light generating device

The invention relates to a wake up stimulus control system, comprising a control unit () arranged to receive a user-determinable wake up time input and to control at least one stimulus source (), a coupling for operably coupling at least one stimulus source () to said control unit, wherein the stimulus source () is controllable by the control unit () in such a way that the stimulus source () provides a gradually increasing stimulus output in dependence on said input wake up time, at least during a time period before the input wake up time, and at least one stimulus sensor () that is operably coupled to the control unit (). The sensor allows a much better control of the supplied stimulus level to account for various ambient influences. The stimulus is preferably light. The invention also provides a socket, a stimulus source and a control unit for use in the system.

Wake up stimulus control system

The invention relates to a foldable stand () comprising a longitudinally extending support () which is carried by two legs (), each leg () being connected to the support () via a journal () having a central axis (), said stand () being foldable between an operational position, in which the legs () extend in one plane and the support () extends away from said plane and a rest position in which the legs () extend in said plane and the support () also extends in said plane substantially parallel to the legs (), wherein a housing () is provided to which the support () is fixedly mounted, and a coupling element () is provided in said housing () for rotationally coupling the central axes () of the journals () of the legs () at an angle relative to each other. Folding of the stand between the operational position and the rest position requires only one operation from a user. By moving the support from its operational position the legs are automatically taken along from said operational position into said rest position.

Foldable stand

An irradiation device includes a base part, a support longitudinally extending from the base part and enclosing an angle with a vertical axis, and a housing that includes a central axis, at least one radiation unit, and a radiation emission plane. The housing is pivotally connected to the support via a pivot shaft and is pivotable between an operational position in which the radiation emission plane is horizontal, and a rest position in which the radiation emission plane vertical with a single rotation of the pivot shaft about a pivot axis extending through the pivot shaft.
