A method for controlling at least one switchable valve, a brake impulse that slows down the valve movement being produced during the controlling of the at least one valve. At least one parameter of the brake impulse determines the position and/or the duration of the brake impulse. A parameter is modified, and the reaction of a measurement quantity or of a characteristic feature derived from the measurement quantity is evaluated.

Percussion unit, especially for a rotary hammer and/or percussion hammer, comprising a control unit which is designed for controlling a pneumatic percussion mechanism. According to the disclosure, the control unit comprises at least one load estimation device.

Percussion unit

A method for adapting a transition compensation based on a lambda value change for operating an engine, which includes a combustion chamber having a first inlet opening connected to a first intake pipe having a first injector. The chamber includes a second inlet opening connected to a second intake pipe having a second injector. During normal operation, a predetermined fuel quantity is injected, and this quantity includes a first and second fuel quantities to be injected respectively via the first and second openings. In a first step, the first injector remains closed, and in a second step, the first injector is opened again. A percussion unit for a rotary hammer and/or percussion hammer includes a control unit that is configured for open-loop and/or closed loop control of a pneumatic percussion mechanism. A device and a method for actuating an injector in a fuel-injection system of an internal combustion engine are described. Using a first calibration method and based on a control parameter, an injector parameter which characterizes the injection process is determined. Starting from this injector parameter, a first feature is determined for calibrating the injector. A second calibration method determines a second feature for calibrating the injector, based on an engine parameter. The first calibration method is monitored on the basis of the second feature.
