The one or more instances in the program code that references the identifier of the standard web object model program object property that is prevented by the web browser from being directly reassigned are modified with one or more corresponding replacement references that include a replacement identifier. The replacement identifier id defined in the program code as being associated with a new program object property defined to invoke the standard web object model program object property in addition to being defined to perform additional processing of a resource identifier associated with the invocation of the standard web object model program object property.

Intercepting not directly interceptable program object property

A method of delivering dynamic web content by a proxy server is disclosed. A plurality of responses to requests for dynamic web content at a URL (uniform resource locator) is prefetched by a proxy server from an origin server. The plurality of prefetched responses is cached by the proxy server in a one-time cache, wherein each prefetched response cached in the one-time cache is served at most once and then removed from the one-time cache. A request from a client device for the dynamic web content at the URL is received by the proxy server. One of the plurality of prefetched responses cached in the one-time cache is served by the proxy server to the client device, wherein the one of the plurality of prefetched responses is removed from the one-time cache after the one of the plurality of prefetched responses has been served.

One-time cache

A resource identifier to be encoded dynamically upon detection of a triggering event is identified. The resource identifier is allowed to remain not encoded prior to detection of the triggering event. The triggering event that will cause the resource identifier to be consumed by a web browser is detected. In response to detecting the triggering event, the resource identifier is encoded, and an encoded version of the resource identifier is provided for consumption by the web browser.

Delayed encoding of resource identifiers

A resource identifier to be encoded is detected. One or more special characters in the detected resource identifier are identified. The detected resource identifier is encoded at least in part by preserving the identified one or more special characters in a resulting encoded resource identifier corresponding to the detected resource identifier. The encoded resource identifier is utilized in place of the detected resource identifier.

Preserving special characters in an encoded identifier

A method of delivering a webpage is disclosed. It is determined that delivery of at least a portion of third-party content associated with a webpage is to be accelerated. One or more pre-conditions to be met prior to the delivery of the accelerated third-party content are determined. A loading order configuration for the webpage is determined based at least in part on the one or more pre-conditions. At least a portion of the webpage that modifies a loading order of content portions of the webpage is determined based on the loading order configuration.

Third-party Ad acceleration

A method of speeding up the delivery of a dynamic webpage is disclosed. A plurality of responses to a plurality of requests for a webpage is received, the webpage including dynamic components. The plurality of responses is compared to identify common and dynamic components across the plurality of requests. A cached stub is dynamically adapted based on the comparison within a learning window, the cached stub including the identified common components and placeholders for portions of the identified dynamic components. The dynamically adapted cached stub is sent in response to at least some of the plurality of requests for the webpage. A frequency of reloading of the webpage is monitored, wherein a reloading of the webpage is triggered by a detection of the dynamically adapted cached stub having one of a plurality of types of error. The learning window is adjusted based on a frequency of reloading of the webpage.

Adaptive learning periods in HTML streaming

A method of speeding up the delivery of a dynamic webpage is disclosed. A request for a webpage is received, the webpage including one or more dynamic components. A cached stub is sent in response to the request, wherein the cached stub includes components empirically determined as static components of the webpage, and wherein the cached stub includes a placeholder replacing at least a portion of a first dynamic component of the webpage. A script is injected in the cached stub that intercepts any access to the placeholder.

Placeholders for dynamic components in HTML streaming

A plurality of sets of information is received, wherein each set of information indicates dependent resources of a corresponding referred web content, wherein each set of information is collected in response to the corresponding referred web content having been loaded on one of one or more client devices. The received sets of information associated with the corresponding referred web content are used to update a list of candidate prefetchable resources for a referring web content that refers to the corresponding referred web content. A request requesting for a list of prefetchable resources is received from a requestor, wherein the request is associated with loading the referring web content on the requestor's client device. One or more resources from the list of candidate prefetchable resources are selected as prefetchable resources based on one or more criteria. One or more identifiers identifying the one or more selected resources are sent.

Speculative prefetch of resources across page loads

A method of determining one or more sources for delivery of content corresponding to a website is disclosed. Content from a plurality of initial sources is received through an interface. The content comprises content of a plurality of webpages of a website. Performance of the plurality of initial sources in delivering the content is evaluated. At least some of the content is copied to an alternative source. The content from the alternative source is received through the interface. Performance of the alternative source in delivering the content is evaluated. A determination of whether the alternative source should replace at least some of the plurality of initial sources as a source for delivering content of the website is made. The determination is based at least in part on the evaluated performances.

Automatic configuration generation for a proxy optimization server for optimizing the delivery of content of a web publisher

Switching a content location address is disclosed. A mapping data is received from a server indicating one or more translated location addresses that correspond to one or more content requests. At a client device, a request is generated that specifies an initial content location address. The initial content location address is translated to a different content location address using the received mapping data.

Client-side location address translation

Responding to a request for network content is disclosed. The request for network content is received. A determination of whether delivery of the content can be improved by a prioritized content delivery system is determined. The determination is determined using application level data associated with the request. The request for network content is routed to the prioritized content delivery system or a normal content delivery system based at least in part on the determination.

Application layer load balancer

Expediting content delivery is disclosed. A request for content is received from a requestor. A cached component of the requested content that includes at least some cached executable content is identified. The cached component of the requested content is provided to the requestor for provisional execution. It is determined whether a change, if any, in the requested content may invalidate the provisional execution.
