Plasticized compositions comprising polyamide or polyamide/ionomer blend and poly(trimethylene ether) glycol are provided. Also articles prepared from these compositions are provided.

Plasticizers polyamide compositions

A coating composition having excellent adhesion between coating layers is provided. This disclosure is particularly directed to a 1K waterborne coating composition having hydrophobic polytrimethylene ether polyol containing crosslinkable functional hydroxyl groups. The 1K waterborne coating composition can be used in a multi-layer coating that can comprise a primer layer, a basecoat layer, and optionally, a clearcoat layer. The 1K waterborne coating composition of this disclosure can provide improved adhesion between coating layers, such as between a primer layer and a basecoat layer, between two or more basecoat layers, or between a basecoat layer and a clearcoat layer. This disclosure is further directed to a coating composition comprising components derived from renewable resources.

Waterborne coating composition containing bio-resourced polytrimethylene ether polyol

The present invention relates to urea-terminated polyurethanes dispersants based on diols and polyether diols, aqueous dispersions of such polyurethanes, the manufacture of the urea terminated polyurethane dispersions and inks containing pigments and/or disperse dyes dispersed with these urea terminated polyurethane dispersants. The urea termination can have nonionic hydrophilic substituents.

The present invention is directed toward compositions suitable for use as dielectric fluids, lubricant fluids and biodiesel fluids. Compositions described herein are obtained from a saturated, unsaturated or combinations of both monol, diol, triol or polyol acyl ester based fluid and/or a non-ester based fluid and 2,4,6-tris(di-C-C-alkylaminomethyl) phenol and/or the carboxylic acid salt of 2,4,6-tris(di-C-C-alkylaminomethyl) phenol. These compositions demonstrate improved oxidative stability and/or hydrolytic stability at higher use temperatures.

Disclosed are antimicrobial compositions, and methods for killing, inhibiting, or preventing the growth of microbes, using trimethylene glycol oligomers or dimers. The trimethylene glycol oligomers and dimers have the formula R(CHCHCH&#x2014;O&#x2014;CHCHCH)Rwhere R and Rare hydroxyl, amine, or ester functionalitiess, and n is 2 or higher. The antimicrobial compositions are useful in personal care and cosmetic compositions.

Antimicrobial compositions comprising trimethylene glycol oligomer and methods of using the compositions

Disclosed is branched poly(trimethylene ether) polyols prepared from the acid catalyzed polycondensation reaction of 1,3-propanediol, and at least one triol comonomer selected from 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane and 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane. Also disclosed is a branched poly(trimethylene ether) polyol with an equivalent hydroxyl functionality of about 2.1 to about 3.2 and a Mof about 200 to about 6000. The polyols are useful in the preparation of polyurethane rigid and flexible foams.

Provided are processes for preparing low molecular weight polytrimethylene ether glycol by acid catalyzed polycondensation, neutralization, removal of unreacted monomer, and contact with filter aid. The processes can avoid hydrolysis and yet provide product substantially free of catalyst derived end groups.

Disclosed are processes to prepare monocarboxylic acid esters (mono- and/or diesters) of polytrimethylene ether glycol that are substantially free of residues from the catalyst used to produce the polytrimethylene ether glycol esters, as well as methods for their preparation and end uses thereof.
