A radio frequency communication device has data transmission means and data receiving means. The data transmission means comprise load modulating means being adapted to receive a radio frequency carrier signal emitted by another RF communication device and to modulate the RF carrier signal by means of load modulation in accordance with data to be sent. The data receiving means comprise a RF frequency carrier signal generator being adapted to emit a radio frequency carrier signal and load demodulating means being connected to an emission path of the radio frequency carrier signal and demodulating the radio frequency carrier signal when it has been load modulated by another RF communication device.

Method for coded data transmission between a base station and at least one transponder within a wireless data transmission system

An RFID transponder () comprises a demodulator () for demodulating received phase modulated carrier signals (CSQ), converting them down to a modulated baseband signal (MS) and filtering the converted signal. Sampling means () sample the filtered signal (FS) and store an actual sampling value (S(t)) and a previous sampling value (S(t)) of the filtered signal (FS). Subtracting means () calculate a difference (DS) between the actual sample value (S(t)) and the previous sample value (S(t)). Difference evaluation means () evaluate the difference (DS) according to the following criteria: a. if the difference is positive and outside of a predefined zero range (ZR) a first logical value is determined; b. if the difference is negative and outside of the zero range a second logical value is determined; c. if the difference is within the zero range the logical value of the latest evaluation is kept.

RFID transponder

A radio frequency (RF) communication device () has data transmission means and data receiving means. The data transmission means comprise load modulating means () being adapted to receive a radio frequency carrier signal (CS, CS) emitted by another RF communication device () and to modulate the RF carrier signal (CS, CS) by means of load modulation in accordance with data to be sent. The data receiving means comprise a RF frequency carrier signal generator () being adapted to emit a radio frequency carrier signal (CS, CS) and load demodulating means () being connected to an emission path () of the radio frequency carrier signal and demodulating the radio frequency carrier signal (CS, CS) when it has been load modulated by another RF communication device ().

Radio frequency communication device and method for operating the same

In an RFID system an RFID device () comprises a device air interface (C) witha predefined quality factor (Q) for transmitting wireless carrier and data signals (CS) being transmitted to a remote RFID transponder() comprising a transponder air interface (C) with a predefined quality factor (Q). Data processing system

A demodulator () for demodulating a modulated signal () comprises a Hubert transformer () for generating a Hubert transformed modulated signal () of the modulated signal (). The Hubert transformed modulated signal () comprises modulated () and unmodulated signal sequences () and originates from an unmodulated signal. The demodulator () further comprises a comparing device () for comparing the Hubert transformed modulated signal () with a reference signal (), which corresponds to the Hubert transformed unmodulated signal. The demodulator () is further configured to identify the modulated and unmodulated signal sequences () based on the comparison.
