A spinning machine and method of operation include a plurality of adjacently arranged workstations, each workstation having one of a spinning device or a suction nozzle to which a process vacuum is applied during spinning operation. A vacuum duct extends along the workstations for supplying the spinning devices or the suction nozzles with the process vacuum. A maintenance unit is displaceable along the workstations, the maintenance unit including a pneumatic working element and a vacuum line to supply the pneumatic working element with vacuum. A closeable connection opening is at each of the spinning devices or the suction nozzles, the connection opening connected to the process vacuum. The maintenance unit includes a suction head that is advanceable toward the connection opening and is connected to the vacuum line.

A cleaning device for cleaning a rotor disk of a spinning rotor has a cleaning head with at least one cleaning element, and a receptacle on which the cleaning head is mounted and which can be fed to the spinning rotor for cleaning the rotor disk. The cleaning head includes at least one bearing area by means of which the cleaning head is mounted on the receptacle. A longitudinal direction of the bearing area defines an axial direction of the cleaning head. The cleaning head is mounted in the axial direction in a floating manner on the receptacle, and/or the cleaning element is mounted in the axial direction in a floating manner on the cleaning head.

Cleaning device for cleaning a rotor disk of a spinning rotor

An open-end spinning machine and control method are provided for cleaning a spinning rotor of a spinning device in which at least one cleaning measure is carried out on the spinning rotor with the aid of a pneumatic or a mechanical cleaning device. With a control unit associated with the open-end spinning machine, settings are specified for the cleaning device to carry out the cleaning measure, wherein the settings are empirically determined based on one or more operational parameters of the spinning rotor. Operational parameters are stored in a memory bank associated with the control unit. The specific settings for carrying out the cleaning measure for a particular spinning rotor are automatically determined by reference to the operational parameters stored in the memory bank that are applicable to the particular spinning rotor.

Method for cleaning a spinning rotor of open-end spinning machine having at least one spinning device, and a cleaning device for cleaning a spinning rotor

A spinning-mill machine and associated operational method includes a plurality of cross-winding devices arranged next to each other in a longitudinal direction along each machine side of the spinning-mill machine, wherein each cross-winding device is configured to wind yarn onto a sleeve. The cross-winding devices are arranged into a multiple number of sections along each of the machine sides. A sleeve transport device is arranged along the cross-winding devices on each machine side to supply empty sleeves to cross-winding devices. A plurality of sleeve stacks are configured to stockpile the empty sleeves. A plurality of sleeve storage devices are arranged along each machine side for distributed intermediate storage of the empty sleeves, wherein each cross-winding device is allocated with a single sleeve storage device, or the plurality of the cross-winding devices in each of the sections are allocated to a single one of the sleeve storage devices.

Spinning-mill machine

A spinning-mill machine includes a plurality of cross-winding devices arranged next to each other and in sections in a longitudinal direction along opposite machine sides of the spinning-mill machine, each cross-winding device configured to wind yarn onto a sleeve. A plurality of sleeve stacks are arranged with each machine side and are configured to stockpile empty sleeves. A plurality of sleeve transport devices are configured alongside the cross-winding devices of the machine side, wherein each of the sleeve stacks has one of the sleeve transport devices operationally associated therewith to deliver the sleeves from the sleeve stack to the cross-winding devices.

Spinning-mill machine and a method for operating sleeve transport devices on a spinning-mill machine

A method, and associated textile machine winding station, are provided for handling a yarn end of a cross-wound bobbin at the winding station, wherein the cross-wound bobbin is held and driven in a bobbin holder. A thread is laid in a cross-wise manner on the cross-wound bobbin by means a traverse device. A suction nozzle having a movable suction mouth is subjected to negative pressure, and the suction mouth is moved relative to the suction nozzle such that a distance between the suction mouth and the cross-wound bobbin is changed in order to find the thread end on the cross-wound bobbin and to suck the thread end into the suction nozzle, or to stretch the thread end sucked into the suction nozzle between the suction mouth and the cross-wound bobbin. The stretched thread is moved to a unit of the textile machine for further processing.

A cleaning head of a cleaning device for cleaning a spinning rotor, by means of a feed device, be fed into a predetermined cleaning position in the interior of the spinning rotor. The cleaning head has a cleaning element formed as a scraper element arranged in such a manner that, in the predetermined cleaning position of the cleaning head, it is fed to the open edge of the spinning rotor. A cleaning device for cleaning a spinning rotor features a corresponding cleaning head. A textile machine, especially a spinning machine or winding machine, has numerous identical workstations arranged beside one another along a longitudinal side, with numerous maintenance devices movable along the workstations for servicing the workstations, and with a control and communication system. The maintenance devices are connected to a bus topology component through a maintenance device bus line, in which case at least some of the bus topology components are connected to the control and communication system with a common bus line. The bus topology components are arranged in a middle area of the textile machine, in the longitudinal direction (LR) of the textile machine.

The invention concerns an arrangement of service positions for maintenance apparatus, which can travel on a guide rail along a multiplicity of similar workstations on a first side of a textile machine, wherein a maintenance apparatus in a first service position at the elevation of a machine framing of the textile machine can be pivoted away from, or transversely withdrawn from the guide rail. Per side of the textile machine, at least two maintenance apparatuses are exclusively assigned thereto, whereby the guide rail on the first side, at least at one end of the textile machine, is elongated beyond the textile machine and a second service position is placed on the elongated guide rail. In this way, it becomes possible, with a large number of workstations to assure the shortest possible duration of a standstill, wherein in the case of a failure or preventive unkeep of one maintenance apparatus, another maintenance apparatus can serve a workstation in a short time.

Arrangement of service positions for maintenance apparatuses on a textile machine

During the pneumatic holding of a yarn spun from fibers, the intensity of the air stream holding the yarn is changed to adapt to the prevailing working conditions. Such a change in intensity of this air stream can take place here in adaptation to different work phases and/or to the character of the held yarn. In order to reduce the intensity of the air stream, a secondary air stream may be fed to it at a point which is not reached by the yarn held by the air stream, or the cross-section of a pneumatic device conveying the air stream is changed. The pneumatic device is associated with an air control device which influences the intensity of the air stream and is connected to a control device which can be adjusted or programmed to take various working conditions into account. By means of the air control device an opening can be controlled through which the line can be connected to the atmosphere surrounding it. Alternatively, the air control device 9 can be provided with a choke which changes the cross-section of the pneumatic device.

Process and device for pneumatic retention of a yarn

In open-end spinning and in coordination with predetermined operating phases, a yarn suction pipe by means of which a yarn extending from a bobbin is to be received temporarily is brought successively into different operating planes. The yarn suction pipe is imparted a defined operational movement as a function of the operating planes occupied and in coordination with the current operating phase. The operating positions of the yarn suction pipe that can be moved into at least two operating planes are defined in such a manner that when the yarn suction pipe is in its operating position in a first operating plane, a yarn extending from the bobbin pressing on a winding roller to the yarn suction pipe crosses the traversing range of the yarn traversing guide. However, the yarn is outside the traversing range of this yarn traversing guide when the yarn suction pipe assumes its operating position in an additional operating plane. The yarn suction pipe is mounted on a swivel pin that is in turn mounted on an additional swivel pin.
