The invention relates to a production method for producing, on a production installation (), flat products, also of a large width, from continuously cast slabs having a large or medium thickness or from thin slabs. Said production installation is comprised of a single or multiple stand blooming train (), of a roller table (), which is provided for conveying the rolling stock and, optionally for oscillating, of a roller table section () with hinged heat-insulating covering hoods. The production installation is also comprised of a straightening unit () for straightening the pre-strips, of an, in particular, inductive heating installation () for effecting the controlled heating of the pre-strips to a defined temperature over the length and width of the pre-strips, of a multiple-stand finishing train (), of a delivery roller table with devices () for cooling the hot rolled strip, and of subsequently arranged coiling machines () for coiling the finished strip. In the single or two-stand blooming train (), one or more slabs comprised of carbon steels having an average carbon content of approximately 0.2 to 0.8% or of alloyed case hardening steels or heat-treatable steels are rolled on the roller table () to form one or more pre-strips. Said rolling is carried out in two stages with a pause between the same for effecting an intermediate cooling by oscillation. The pre-strips are heated over the length and width thereof to a defined temperature by the combined action of the covering hoods and heating installation, and are rolled in a multiple-stand finishing train () in the two-phase region in order to form thin high-strength finished strips.

Production method and installation for producing thin flat products

The invention relates to a method for increasing the process stability, particularly the absolute thickness precision and the installation safety during the hot rolling of steel of nonferrous materials, with small degrees of deformation (f) or no reductions while taking the high-temperature limit of elasticity (R) into account when calculating the set rolling force (F) and the respective setting position (s). The process stability can be increased with regard to the precision of the yield stress (k) and the set rolling force (F) at small degrees of deformation (f) or small reductions, during which the high temperature limit of elasticity (R) is determined according to the deformation temperature (T) and/or the deformation speed (phip) and is integrated into the function of the yield stress (k) for determining the set rolling force (F) via the relation (2) R=a+e.phip, in which: Rrepresents the high temperature; phip represents the deformation speed, and; a, b, c represent coefficients.

A method and an installation for the endless production of hot-rolled, flat products from thin cast strip. The installation includes a casting machine for producing cast strip, a device for cooling the cast strip under inert gas, a single-stand roughing train, a multi-stand finishing train, a device for cooling, heating or maintaining the temperature of the hot-rolled strip, according to choice, between the roughing train and the finishing train, shears for separating the hot-rolled strip from coil to coil, a delivery roller table with devices for cooling the hot-rolled strip and with coiling machines arranged downstream of the finishing train for coiling up the finished strip.

Method and installation for the continuous production of hot-rolled, thin flat products

A process and device for the production of continuously cast billets in a production plant employs a vertical, round strand-casting machine with horizontal run-out, at least one descaling device, and several following roll stands. For the production of round billets with diameters in the range of 90-300 mm, after the solidifying round billet has left the mold but before it has entered the following rolling unit, its surface is descaled and the area near the surface is cooled in defined manner to a temperature which is optimum for the grade of steel in question before the round billet is worked, first over the course of at least three successive horizontal passes then in a vertical pass, the surface of the preworked billet being descaled again before the last pass.

Method of producing round billets

A method for producing hot-rolled strip and plates in a production plant having a continuous casting installation for slabs 100-180 mm thick, descaling sprays, a single- or multiple-stand rolling unit with or without edging, a cooling interval, a heating furnace, and a Steckel mill. Between the continuous casting installation and the heating furnace, only the skin layer of the previously descaled slab is deformed in-line, recrystallized during and after deformation, and then cooled in several stages to a temperature below the Ar transformation point and temporarily maintained there until the microstructural transformation of the recrystallized, fine-grained austenite to ferrite/pearlite has been completed.
