A seat for a transport vehicle includes a seat surface, an armrest, and a child armrest. The child armrest is configured to adopt an adult position and a child position. In the adult position the child armrest is arranged in a stowed position in which the child armrest is incorporated in a contour of the armrest. In the child position the child armrest is arranged in a use position in which the child armrest has a reduced spacing from the seat surface in the vertical direction and a reduced spacing from an opposing armrest in the horizontal direction.

Seat for transport vehicle

A seat having a seat surface and a backrest also includes a reboard seat frame which is pivotably mounted in the lower region of the backrest and/or in the connecting/transition region of backrest and seat surface. At least one part of the cushion of the backrest is connected to the reboard seat frame and can pivot with this reboard seat frame. The reboard seat frame in a stowed position is arranged essentially parallel to the backrest and can pivot from the stowed position into a reboard in-use position in which it occupies an angular position between the planes of the backrest and of the seat surface. In the reboard in-use position, the part of the cushion of the backrest which is connected to the reboard seat frame forms the seat surface of a reboard child seat.

Airplane seat

The invention relates to a seat for a means of transport, having a supporting structure (), on which seating surface () and backrest () are mounted, and having a seat crossbeam () of hollow design. The invention provides for the cavity of the seat crossbeam () to contain electrical and/or electronic components ().

Vehicle seat

A folding-table arrangement includes a supporting device, a table housing accommodating a table top in an essentially vertical stowed position and a table top which can be adjusted from an essentially vertical stowed position in the table housing into an essentially horizontal use position. The table housing is arranged in a height-adjustable manner on the supporting device and, in the use position, the table top has its underside supported on the table housing.

Folding table arrangement

A seating and lying arrangement for the passenger region of aircraft. The arrangement can be brought into a seating state and a lying state. In the seating state, the arrangement has a seating surface and a backrest. In the lying state, the arrangement provides a lying surface. The arrangement comprises a seating device and a lying device which is separate therefrom. In the seating state, the lying device is arranged next to the seating device. In the lying state, the lying device is arranged above the seating device. A change can be made between the seating state and the lying state of the arrangement.

Seating and lying arrangement

The child's seat for airplanes comprises a mounting adapted to be fastened to a partition wall of an airplane, and a seat fastened to the mounting such that the seat can assume two different vertical positions. In an upper takeoff and landing position, the seat is located above the head strike arc of a person seated on an airplane seat, while in a lower communicating position, assumed during the flight, the seat is at chest level of the accompanying person. Thanks to the child's seat, the number of adult passengers normally occupying passenger seats of an airplane need not be reduced.

Child's seat for airplanes

Passengers are transported in a cabin of a passenger aircraft in an upright position. For this purpose the aircraft cabin is equipped with passenger stands. Each stand has a passenger backing and a safety belt, preferably a three-point safety belt. The stands are positioned in a standing room area of the cabin which has a sufficient vertical clearance between floor and ceiling for accommodating passengers in the upright position. The passenger backing has preferably a shell-shape forming a back support as a lean-against portion and at least one side portion for privacy. The shell or flat backing wall may itself be connected either directly or through a post for an angular adjustment relative to the forward flight direction.

An improved vehicle seating row, in particular an airplane passenger seating row. The seating row is provided with at least one seat which can be displaced in the direction of the cross struts of a framework relative to the neighboring seat between two positions in which the seat row has a maximum or a minimum width and which can be locked in these positions to the framework by means of a latching mechanism, and with a hand lever mounted at one of the two end seat dividers which can be moved to three different tilted positions for actuating of the latching mechanism as well as a manually releasable locking device for the hand lever. The center position of the hand lever is associated with the released state of the latching mechanism and the two other tilted positions are associated with the effective state of the latching mechanism for the installation of the seating row with minimum or maximum widths, respectively.

Vehicle seating rows, particularly airplane passenger seating rows

An airplane passenger seat row is disclosed which comprises a seat frame, which is common to all seats and which includes cross members and feet that are fixed to said cross members. Seat cushion carriers and backrests can be adjusted in their position of inclination. A section of the seat cushion carriers and a section of the backrests are designed as components which can be moved in at least two positions in the longitudinal direction of the cross members. A backrest of a center seat includes a center section located between two side sections. Each side section is assigned a locking mechanism, by means of which in the one position of the moveable components both side sections can be connected shape-lockingly to the center section, in order to form sections of the center seat, and in the second position the side sections can be connected shape-lockingly to the seats backrest which adjoin laterally the center seat, in order to form sections of both side seats.

Airplane passenger seat row

In the airplane of the present invention, a part of the outer skin (10) is not provided with an insulating layer (11). A cold air chamber (13) is provided behind this part being in heat exchange with the ambient air via the outer skin (10). A flow-in duct leads from the cold air chamber (13) to the cooling chamber (16) and a flow-out duct (21) leads from the cooling chamber (16) back to the cold air chamber (13). The cold air chamber (13) and the cooling chamber (16) form a closed recirculation system, thereby cooling the cooling chamber (16) suited for receiving a service trolley (29). A thermostat (25) controls air quantity regulating valves (22;24) and a van (23) in order to maintain a desired temperature within the cooling chamber (16).
