The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a tampon () having at least one absorbent body made from an absorbent material (), the tampon () having a proximal end () and a distal end () and a middle part extending between the distal end and the proximal end, as well as an extraction means () connected to the absorbent body and situated at the distal end (), and the tampon has a covering made from a nonwoven material (), which, with the exception of a pass-through opening () for the extraction means (), completely covers at least the distal end (), by which the escaping of fibers at the distal end () is prevented, and the covering additionally forming a protection against the fluid leakage.

Method for producing a tampon

A transfer arrangement () for gripping articles (at) comprises a central wheel body with a multiplicity of arms (), which can be pivoted about a first axis () in each case, articulated along its periphery. The arms () have a gripper () for receiving in each case one or more articles (). Each gripper () can be rotated about a second axis () for predetermined positioning of the articles, while the connecting body () can be rotated about the first axis (). The rotary movement of the gripper (), then, can be transferred to the gripper (), rotating about the second axis (), via a shaft () arranged along the first axis (), with the aid of a transfer element (). Finally, a third axis () is arranged on the connecting body (), between the first and second axes (). This allows rotation of the connecting body () to be transferred in a controlled manner to the connecting body (), at the location of the first axis (), via a shaft () arranged along the third axis (), with the aid of a transfer element (). This means that articles () can be tracked.

Transferring device for repositioning articles

A feeding device for a packaging machine used to feed individual goods to a packaging station of the machine includes at least one continuously rotating conveyor which comprises at least one driver element used to drive the individual goods, which are to be guided, along a conveyor path. The inventive feeder device is embodied in such a manner that, for each conveyor, only one individual driver element can be placed in a driving position of the individual goods which are to be guided at any one time. The device reduces the feeding path of a packaging machine and also increases the position precision of the individual goods.

A device for carrying and fastening a robot (), in particular a delta robot, is designed in a gallows shape. It has a foot (), a column () adjoining the foot (), and at least one cantilever arm (), fastened to this column (), for fastening the robot (). The cantilever arm () in this case is fastened to the column () in a fixed position. The device consists at least partly of a composite material, in particular a cast mineral. This device for carrying and fastening a robot is extremely space-saving and nonetheless has good vibration-damping properties.

In an apparatus for packaging piece goods, a piece-goods article of a first type (A) and a plurality of piece goods of a second type (B) are introduced into a common pack. The apparatus has a first conveyor ( ), for feeding piece goods of the first type (A), a second conveyor ( ), for feeding piece goods of a second type (B), and a packing station ( ), for forming a flexible tube ( ). It also has at least one feed station ( ), from which the piece goods of the second type (B) are deposited by means of the second conveyor ( ) such that the piece goods of the second type (B) are located one above the other at least in part and form first groups. In each case one of these first groups is deposited on a piece-goods article of the first type (A) from the second conveyor ( ) by conveying means ( ), this resulting in the formation of a second group, which is introduced into the flexible tube ( ). Force-applying means ( ) are provided here in order that the second group maintains its shape as it is introduced into the flexible tube ( ). The apparatus makes it possible for non-stackable piece goods of different types to be transported together and packaged together in a tubular bag. In particular it is possible for flat masses of noodles, together with bags of sauce and spices located thereon, to be packaged in tubular bags.

The apparatus comprises an incoming conveyor and a revolving device, in which grippers ( ) circulate at a regular first spacing (T ) over a closed circulating path ( ). The second circulating path ( ) runs over a buffer region ( ) parallel to the first circulating path ( ). Within the buffer region ( ) the grippers ( ) can be switched into their second state. The circulating speed of the grippers ( ) is greater than the circulating speed of the carriers ( ). A control device ( ) controls the switching of the grippers ( ) into the second state in such a manner that each storage compartment ( ) between adjacent carriers ( ) downstream of the buffer region ( ) contains a product ( ).

Apparatus for conveying and temporarily storing products

A screw connection includes a first component having an outer surface and a countersunk bore extending from the surface and having a cylindrical portion adjoining the outer surface of the first component. There is further provided a second component adjoining the first component. A screw passes through the countersunk bore and extends into the second component for joining together the first and second components. The screw includes a screw head having an end face which is recessed relative to the outer surface. A disk is press-fitted into the cylindrical portion of the countersunk bore. The disk has a surface oriented toward the end face of the screw head. The disk surface has a center part which is in direct or indirect contact with the end face of the screw head. A circumferential marginal part of the disk is at a clearance from the end face of the screw head whereby an externally applied pressing force on the disk at a disk location spaced from the center part causes a rocking motion of the disk.

Screw connection for joining two components

An apparatus for forming a column of spaced articles has a supply belt and a downstream-adjoining removal belt. The article transfer location between the two belts is formed by belt-supporting end rollers, one defining the downstream end of the supply belt and the other defining the upstream end of the removal belt. The two rollers together define an article transfer location. The two belt-supporting end rollers are mounted on a first carriage which is movable parallel to the conveying direction and which is attached to the upper reach of an endless flexible element. A second carriage is secured to the lower reach of the flexible element. On the second carriage there are mounted two deflecting rollers about which the supply belt and the removal belt are trained, respectively. The endless flexible element is supported by end rollers and is driven by a motor connected to a regulator. There is further provided a sensor which applies a signal to the regulator each time an article situated on the supply belt passes by the sensor. The regulator varies the speed and direction of motion of the flexible element in response to the sensor signal for shifting the article transfer location and thus changing the distance between a leading article on the supply belt and a trailing article on the removal belt so that, as a result, the articles will be spaced at predetermined distances from one another on the removal belt.

Conveyor for forming a column of uniformly spaced articles

An apparatus for separating and conveying elongate items includes a first pair of side-by-side arranged conveyor belts driven in a conveying direction at identical speeds, a second pair of side-by-side arranged conveyor belts being in longitudinal alignment with the first conveyor belt pair and being driven in the conveying direction at identical speeds greater than the speed of the first conveyor pair. First and second item transfer locations spaced from one another in the conveying direction are defined between the two conveyor belt pairs to cause each item to assume an oblique orientation relative to the conveying direction, and a longitudinal clearance defined between the belts of the first and second conveyor pairs. A suction device including a suction opening aligned with the longitudinal clearance is provided for pressing the items against the conveyor belts. There are further provided a conveyor in a longitudinal alignment with the conveyor belt pairs downstream thereof for receiving the items therefrom, and an item turning device situated above the conveyor for rotating each item into a longitudinal orientation which is at least approximately parallel to the conveying direction.

Apparatus for separating and conveying elongate articles

An apparatus for providing a uniform spacing between articles supported on and advanced by a conveyor in a conveying direction, comprises a carrier arranged for travel in the conveying direction at a speed less than that of the conveyor and a plurality of spacer units mounted uniformly spaced on the carrier. Each spacer unit includes a spacer gate having a working position in which the spacer gate is abutted by an article advanced by the conveyor and an idling position in which articles advanced by the conveyor pass by the spacer gate unhindered. Each spacer unit further has a sensor element supported upstream of the spacer gate and is displaceable by an article before the article abuts said spacer gate; and actuating mechanism operatively coupled to the sensor element and to the spacer gate which belongs to an immediately upstream located spacer unit for moving the last-named spacer gate from the idling position to the working position in response to a displacement of the sensor element by the article.
