Various embodiments may include an electrolyzer for electrochemical utilization of carbon dioxide comprising: electrolysis cell defining an anode space and a cathode space; an anode in the anode space; a cathode in the cathode space; a first cation-permeable membrane disposed between the anode space and the cathode space; and a second anion-selective membrane disposed between the first cation-permeable membrane and the cathode. The anode directly adjoins the first cation-permeable membrane. The second anion-selective membrane directly adjoins the first cation-permeable membrane and the second anion-selective membrane directly adjoins the cathode.

Device and method for the electrochemical utilisation of carbon dioxide

The present disclosure relates to semiconductors. Some embodiments may include a series circuit arrangement of power semiconductors comprising: cooling-water boxes arranged on the semiconductors and electrically connected to them; two cooling-water distributor lines; respective branchings on the cooling-water distributor lines for the cooling chambers; and a control electrode arranged on the cooling-water distributor lines. The cooling chambers are connected in parallel between the cooling-water distributor lines with respect to a cooling-water stream. The cooling chambers are connected to the branchings via a respective connecting line. For at least some of the cooling chambers, the branchings on the cooling-water distributor lines are arrayed relative to the position of the respective cooling chamber in offset manner in relation to a geometrically shortest possible link to the cooling-water distributor lines, so that a difference of potential between the cooling chambers and the branchings is minimized.

Series circuit arrangement of power semiconductors

An electrical energy store is provided, including a storage cell, which in turn has an air electrode, which is connected to air channels in an air supply device, and a storage electrode, wherein the storage electrode adjoins a storage structure, wherein electrical contacts rest on the storage electrode, further wherein contact pins which protrude out of a surface of the storage structure are integrated in the storage structure, and the contact pins are in electrical contact with the storage electrode.

An electric energy store includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an oxygen ion conducting electrolyte separating the positive electrode and the negative electrode from each other. The negative electrode includes a first reservoir having a gas-permeable oxidizable material and, contained therein, a gaseous, oxygen-exchanging redox pair. The positive electrode comprises a second reservoir having a gas-permeable oxidizable material and oxygen transport is effected by means of an oxygen-containing gaseous compound, wherein the positive electrode is closed with respect to the atmosphere.

Storage structure of an electrical energy storage cell

An energy storage device for a reversible storage of energy has a reversibly designed metal/metal oxide storage unit for indirectly storing energy in form of a fluid material and a reversibly designed electrolysis device for providing and using the fluid material in an electrolysis reaction. The metal/metal oxide storage unit is disposed spatially separated from the electrolysis device. A fluid exchanging unit is provided for exchanging the fluid material between the reversibly designed metal/metal oxide storage unit and the electrolysis device, and a heat exchanging unit is provided for exchanging thermal energy between the metal/metal oxide storage unit and the electrolysis device. Further, a method for a reversible storage of energy is provided.

An electrical energy storage device is provided which comprises at least one module with a negative electrode, a positive electrode made from an anion generating material or material combination and conducting anions, and an anion conducting solid electrolyte located between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The negative electrode of each module comprises a porous structure that conducts anions and the pore space of which is at least partially filled by a first redox mass which comprises a metal/metal oxide pair. The positive electrode of each module comprises a porous structure that conducts anions and the pore space of which is at least partially filled by a second redox mass which comprises a metal/metal oxide pair with an increased oxidation potential compared to the first redox mass.

Electrical energy storage device

A battery has a cathode and an anode, between which a solid electrolyte is disposed. The battery has a process gas feed on the cathode side. The battery is characterized in that an electrically conductive supporting body is disposed on the cathode surface. At least one chamber connected to the anode has a porous, oxidizable material and a redox pair that is gaseous at an operating temperature of the battery.

Electrochemical battery

A high-temperature fuel cell system includes individual SOFC fuel cells which are in contact with each other for electrically connecting the same in parallel or in series. In at least one embodiment, contacting elements that are suitable for the fuel cell system with a certain flexibility in addition to the required electrical conductivity for continuous operation. The contacting elements between two fuel cells are formed by a metal wire mesh that is advantageously made of nickel. Such nickel wires can be mechanically transformed into a continuous mesh, especially a tube, from which sections having a suitable length can be cut and be provided with the proper shape.

High-temperature fuel cell system and method for the production of contacting elements for such a fuel cell system

Disclosed is a high-temperature fuel cell system including individual SOFC fuel cells which are in contact with each other to be electrically connected in parallel or in series. Contacting elements are provided, in at least one embodiment, that are suitable for the fuel cell system with a certain flexibility in addition to electrical conductivity for continuous operation. The contacting elements are provided, in at least one embodiment, between two fuel cells with an outer, metallically conductive jacket and a ceramic core. For example, ceramic felts can be enveloped by a nickel net by adequately shaping the same.

A double-layer capacitor includes a first electrode having a first polarity, a second electrode having a second polarity, the first polarity being different from the second polarity, and an electrolyte that is in contact with the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode has a first charge of the first polarity and the second electrode has a second charge of the second polarity, and maximum values of the first charge and the second charge are substantially equal.

A high temperature fuel cell has a cathode which comprises at least a first layer and a second layer disposed on one side of the first layer, in which the first layer contains 30 to 60% by weight of a first electrolyte made up of zirconium oxide ZrO and at least one proportion of scandium oxide Sc O , and the second layer comprises substoichiometric lanthanum strontium manganate having the formula La Sr MnO in which the sum of x and y is less than 1. By means of this, a high ionic conductivity is achieved for the cathode ( ). The ionic conductivity further remains substantially constant as a function of the operating time t.
