A brake unit having a container which serves for accommodating working fluid and which is arranged with at least one connector piece in a receiving bore and which is sealed off by a sealing element which extends radially around the connector piece. In order to offer a simple, inexpensive and pressure-tight interface between connector piece in a receiving bore, it is proposed that a form fit transversely with respect to the direction of the longitudinal axis of the connector piece is formed by a displacement of the material of the sealing element during the installation of the connector piece in the receiving bore.

Braking mechanism comprising a working fluid receptacle

A pneumatic brake booster for motor vehicles, comprises a booster housing, the interior of which is separated into a working chamber and a low-pressure chamber by an axially movable wall that can be supplied with a pneumatic differential pressure; a control housing; and a control valve which controls a differential pressure between the working chamber and the low-pressure chamber. The control valve controls an airflow between the working chamber and the low-pressure chamber or a surrounding atmosphere. The control valve has a plate valve and a valve piston, a seal region of which can be sealingly placed on the plate valve and which can be moved in a stroke direction R. A fine and low-noise metering of the brake force is achieved by providing a throttle point between the valve piston and the plate valve for throttling the airflow dependent on the stroke.

Pneumatic brake booster

The invention relates to a brake fluid container for a master cylinder in a hydraulic brake system. A safety valve is provided to ensure that the neck of the brake fluid container closes when the brake fluid container is detached from the master cylinder, for example in case of an accident. The safety valve is disposed in a cartridge which can be inserted from outside in a tightly sealing manner into the neck of the container.

A tandem master brake cylinder for a hydraulic motor vehicle brake system, which is impinged upon by a pneumatic brake booster, including at least one piston which is displaceable in a housing and has a plurality of follow-up connections the follow-up connections allowing a hydraulic connection between the pressure chamber and a pressureless follow-up chamber at the start of a braking operation. At least some of the follow-up connections are formed as transverse bores through a wall of at least one piston and are arranged at a same distance relative to the piston edge in a main plane, wherein the overtravel thereof by the sealing collar defines a closure path of the piston. In order to allow a smooth, quiet and yet sufficiently reliable braking initiation, the follow-up connections are arranged in a distributed manner on at least three planes, the planes being arranged at a distance to one another and in parallel to the piston edge.

Master brake cylinder for a hydraulic motor vehicle brake system

A master cylinder for a regulated braking system having at least one piston, which is movable in a housing and which is sealed from a pressure chamber by a sealing element arranged in a ring groove of the housing, which can be connected to an unpressurized supply chamber by control passages designed in the pistons. In order to reduce the flow resistance of the control passages at the same dead stroke, the control passages have a control edge designed parallel to a piston end face of at least one of the pistons.

A motor-pump unit, for providing pressure for a brake actuating device having a pneumatic brake booster including a pump and an electric motor driving the pump, the pump being a dual diaphragm pump having two opposed working diaphragms, each of which is clamped between a pump casing and a working chamber cover and delimits a working chamber, and moveable by a crank drive having connecting rods and bearings, the working diaphragm connected firmly to a tappet and, together with the connecting rod, in each case forming a diaphragm unit. In order to provide a low-noise motor-pump unit which is more cost-effective and requires reduced expenditure on assembly, the connecting rods are made of plastic, wherein in each case one tappet and one bearing are encapsulated with the material of the connecting rod. Alternatively, the connecting rods can be formed in one piece with the tappet and provided as sintered components.

Motor pump unit

A device for monitoring the position and movement of a brake pedal for motor vehicles, including a power assist brake actuating unit. The brake actuating unit having a master cylinder fastened to the brake power assist unit, a housing and at least one piston displaceable in a linear manner in the master cylinder, and a position indicator for monitoring the position of the brake pedal. The position indicator transmits signals to a sensor element connected to an electronic control unit. The position indicator is provided on a support coupled to the movement of the control valve housing or to the movable wall that is supported by the control valve housing. The support is guided in a housing of a sensor element, and the housing of the sensor element penetrates in a vacuum-tight manner the power assist unit housing and the housing of the master cylinder having a first housing section.

The invention relates to a master cylinder, in particular for a controlled motor vehicle brake system, including a first and a second piston which is displaceable in a housing and has a captive spring, a first end of the spring bearing at least indirectly against the piston and a second end thereof against a sleeve which is displaceable with respect to the piston and the movement of which with respect to the piston is limited by a pin provided on the piston and by a stop washer, the stop washer being arranged on a free end of the pin. In order to avoid impact noise upon rapid release of the brake, the stop washer of the first piston has a device for the damped abutment of the sleeve.

An electric motor () drives a double diaphragm pump () with two working diaphragms () which are located opposite one another. A brake servo whose valve piston has a concentric sealing seat which projects axially beyond a second sealing seat, with the concentric sealing seat having at least one recess for throttling the air volume flow. The controllability and also the noise characteristics of the brake servo can be improved in this way.

Master cylinder, especially for a controlled brake system

The invention relates to a sealing collar for a cylinder-and-piston unit, wherein the sealing collar is essentially received in a groove that is inserted into the cylinder or the piston, respectively, and the sealing collar comprises two sealing lips, the first sealing lip thereof being acted upon dynamically and making catch at the piston or the cylinder, respectively, while the second sealing lip thereof is acted upon statically and rests on a bottom of the groove. It is the core of the invention that the sealing collar includes a circumferential extension that extends in parallel to the sealing lips, is arranged radially between the first sealing lip and the second sealing lip and projects from the sealing lips in an axial direction.
