A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine which includes a housing having a flange for mounting the fuel injector to a cylinder head, a pump jet and at least one electrical component internal of the housing, a pair of electrical connector leads for the electrical component, an aperture extending through the flange, and a portion of the electrical connector leads extending from internally of the housing and terminating in the aperture, thereby permitting the pair of electrical connector leads to be connected with another pair of electrical connector leads in the aperture. The ends of the electrical connector leads are preferably provided with electrical connecting elements secured in the aperture and the other pair of electrical connector leads may be provided in the form of an extension or plug adapted to engage the electrical connecting elements in the aperture.

Fuel injector for internal combustion engines

A recording and/or reproducing apparatus (1) for a record carrier (16) in the form of a tape arranged in a cassette (2) provided with a shutter (18) includes a cassette holder (21), which is movable along an L-shaped path from a loading position into an operating position to bring the cassette (2) into an operating position, and a lever (43) for opening the shutter (18) of the cassette (2) when the cassette is brought into its operating position. The cassette holder (21) has an actuating element (49) and the lever (43) has a stop (52) which projects into the L-shaped path of the actuating element (49), so that the lever (43) can be actuated by the cassette holder (21) to open the shutter (18).

Recording and/or reproducing apparatus

A gear mechanism (1) is selectively reversible between two end positions and which comprises a driving gear member (3), which can alternately be driven in opposite driving directions (19, 20) and a driving member (5) which can be driven by said driving gear member, one gear member (3) being partly toothed to form a toothed portion (8) which is bounded by two end faces (6, 7). The gear members can be brought into and out of mesh with each other. For bringing the two gear members (3, 5) into mesh with each other in at least one driving direction (19, 20) of the relevant gear member (3) said members carry a pair of actuating stops (34, 35, 43, 44) which correspond to the relevant driving direction, which are axially offset relative to the teeth (8, 9), and which each comprise a stop surface (36, 37, 45, 46) whose geometry is in conformity with that of a tooth-flank surface (38, 39, 47, 48). At least one (35, 44) of the pairwise cooperating actuating stops (34, 35, 43, 44) extends beyond the addendum circle of the toothed portion (9) of the gear member (5) carrying this actuating stop (35, 44), its stop surface (37, 46) being prolonged in conformity with the tooth-flank geometry. The actuating stops (34, 35, 43, 44) cooperate pairwise via their stop surfaces (36, 37, 45, 46) to bring the gear members (3, 5) into mesh with each other.

Gear mechanism

A cassette holder is moveable between a first and a second end position, and has at least one actuating spring moving it from the first to the second position. The spring is a cylindrical helical spring wound around a shaft rotatably mounted on the cassette holder, and having at least one pinion meshing with a rack having the same shape as the path of movement of the cassette holder between the two positions. The spring is pretensioned, and the holder is latched in the first end position against the spring force. Upon release of the latch, the spring drives the shaft and pinion so that movement of the pinion along the rack moves the cassette holder from the first end position to the second end position.

Tape cassette apparatus with helical spring cassette holder drive

A tape threading device for a helical scan tape cassette recorder, having pivotal levers each having a tape guide for withdrawing and wrapping the tape about a guide drum. The levers overlap each other at an area of instantaneous overlap at which they are coupled to each other by a mechanism including a sliding block which is guided by a carrier device along a path which extends in the area of overlap. The sliding block is in force-sustained engagement with a link-motion surface on at least one of the levers.

Helical scan cassette recorder with improved tape threading

A symmetrical mounting arrangement for a detachable head drum of a helical scan tape recorder in which a deformable sleeve extends from the drum along the drive spindle with a small clearance, and a clamping ring surrounding the sleeve exerts pressure uniformly to clamp the spindle and accurately center the drum on the spindle.

The head-drum rotary system of a helical scan video recorder is centered on the drive spindle without tilting, by elastic deformation of two wall portions which serve as centering devices. At least one of the centering devices may also function as a clamping element for holding the head-drum system on the spindle.
