A fan unit (), in particular for an air conditioning system of a motor vehicle, comprising an electric motor () for driving a fan wheel (), an electronic device () which generates waste heat and provides electrical current to the electric motor () and a fan housing (), wherein the fan wheel () is disposed together with the electric motor () in an air guiding region () delimited by the fan housing (). Provision is thereby made for the electronic device () to be fastened to the side of the fan housing () which faces away from the air guiding region () in a heat transferring manner so that a heat transfer connection is formed between the electronic device () and the air guiding region ().

The invention relates to a drive module, particularly for a fan in a motor vehicle, comprising a drive motor having a stator, at least one vibration-dampening decoupling element, and a fastening flange connected to the stator of the drive motor by the decoupling element, wherein the decoupling element is arranged in the interior of the stator and the fastening flange comprises a supporting element that is engaged in the decoupling element.

A control device for a power output stage is proposed, which includes a power output stage control which generates a triggering signal as a function of at least one control signal, for triggering at least one power output stage, which switches an electric load, preferably an inductive load having a recovery diode, a recording device being provided which records a measure for an electrical magnitude, which is applied to electric load. A feedback system is also provided, which supplies the power output stage control with at least one feedback signal as a function of the measure for the electrical magnitude, so as to influence the trigger signal.

A protective circuit for a series circuit of a power semiconductor and an inductive load, to which a freewheeling circuit of a freewheeling diode and a reverse polarity protection semiconductor switch connected in series is connected in parallel. The power semiconductor output stage may be switched on and off depending on a predetermined setpoint value with a pulse-width modulated control signal and the reverse polarity protection semiconductor switch may be made non-conducting via a charging pump when the polarity of the supply voltage is reversed. The destruction of components in the case of non-functioning of the freewheeling circuit may be avoided by monitoring a point in the freewheeling circuit of a freewheeling diode and a reverse polarity protection semiconductor switch or in the series circuit of load and power semiconductor output stage for a voltage or a current which appears if the freewheeling circuit is non-functioning, and by initiating the shut-off of the control of the power semiconductor output stage with this fault indicating voltage or current.

A diagnostic device and a diagnostic method for use with a bus system that includes stations interconnected over a bus, one station of which is set up as the master station and the other stations being slave stations. A diagnosis operation is performed which allows differentiated fault information to be obtained with regard to individual outputs of the stations, where the expenditure for the diagnostic device is low. A power output circuit having a pulse-width modulation generator and an upstream closed-loop control circuit which switches the pulse-width modulation generator and the power output stage to a permanently open mode, a PWM mode having pulse-width-modulated pulses, and a permanently closed mode as a function of a preset external setpoint, an actual value of the power output stage, and a reference voltage derived from the supply voltage. High power loss and high EMC in the full-load threshold region are avoided by prematurely switching from the PWM mode to the permanently closed mode as a function of a preset setpoint and the supply voltage, and returning to the PMW mode with a hysteresis of these values.

An electric heater for a motor vehicle uses heat generated by power semiconductors as the heat source. The heat output by the power semiconductors is used directly for heating. The power semiconductors are regulated by circuit regulators to be able to adjust the heating power continuously. In addition, switching devices are provided which interrupt or shut down the respective branch circuits individually in the event of short circuits in the power semiconductors.
