A gripper, which removes blanks from a web of material lying flat, includes gripping elements which can each be actuated separately. The gripping elements are mounted independently of one another in a frame so as to be displaceable perpendicularly to a reference plane parallel to the web of material. The gripping elements are set against the web of material and actuated in a takeover position of the gripper aligned with respect to the blank by means of a control device. In addition to the gripping elements located inside the contour line, there are also other gripping elements adjacent to the blank and located outside the contour line that are set against the material web as downholders. Gripping elements within the contour line of the blank are actuated and retracted from the material web, taking along the blank, before the gripper is lifted off the material web from the takeover position.

Method for controlling a gripper

Providing blanks from a fibre web includes removing the blanks from removal regions and depositing the blanks in at least one deposit element. The blanks are then removed from the deposit elements in accordance with a sequence predefined by a layer-by-layer construction of a workpiece. The blanks that are individually removed from the removal regions are stacked on top of one another in the deposit elements in a sequence that corresponds to a layering sequence of the blanks in the workpiece. The blanks are then successively removed individually from the deposit elements in a sequence that is reversed with respect to the layering sequence of the blanks in the workpiece and are stacked on top of one another in a storage element before being successively removed from the storage element in the sequence predefined for constructing the workpiece layer-by-layer and inserted into a mould for producing the workpiece.

Method for providing blanks from a fibre web

An apparatus for laying fiber tapes includes a deflection guide for the fiber tapes consisting of pressure plates which are arranged adjacent to one another transversely to the deflection axis and a frame which is displaceable in the laying direction for accommodating the pressure plates. At least a part of the pressure plates respectively form a sliding shoe which is resilient in the pressing direction for the deflection of the tape.

Apparatus for laying fiber tapes

An apparatus for laying fiber tapes includes a deflection guide for the fiber tapes made up of pressure plates for the deflection of the tapes, which pressure plates are arranged adjacent to one another perpendicularly to the deflection axis and are resiliently supported in the pressing direction, and a frame, which is displaceable in the laying direction, for accommodating the pressure plates. The pressure rollers form grooved pulleys which engage in circumferential bearing receivers, are axially guided on each other and between lateral guide stops, and are held in bearing engagement with the bearing receivers by elastic endless belts which are guided about a bearing roller mounted in lateral retainers. The bearing receivers are resiliently supported independently from each other in the pressing direction on an abutment provided between the lateral retainers.

An apparatus for laying fiber tapes includes a deflection guide for the fiber tapes made up of pressure plates arranged adjacent to one another transversely to the deflection axis and a frame for receiving the pressure plates which is displaceable in the laying direction. Pressure plates with rollers for deflecting the tape are provided between the pressure plates with a sliding surface for the deflection of the tape, and the retainers for the rollers, which retainers are arranged laterally on the pressure plates, displaceably engage in the pressing direction in recesses of the pressure plates with the sliding surfaces.

An apparatus is for detaching a workpiece from a cutting table. The workpiece is a cutting cut out from a flexible web made of fiber material. A raising device is displaceable relative to the cutting table receiving the web with the cutting and has a run-up surface for the workpiece ascending from the cutting table for progressively lifting the workpiece from the cutting table. A receiving device progressively receives the workpiece after the run-up surface. A lifting device is provided at a distance above the cutting table and includes a receiver which can be adjusted to the length of the boundary section of the cutting facing the raising device and which holds the received boundary section in a transfer position lifted off from the cutting table. The raising device is displaceable between the lifting device and the web resting on the cutting table.

Apparatus for detaching a workpiece from a cutting table

A method for cutting out a cutting () from a web () of endless textile fabric for producing workpieces from a fiber/plastic composite is described, with the web () of endless fabric made up of fiber strands () being stitched at first according to the course () of the edge of the cutting () to be cut out before the cutting () is cut out from the web () of endless fabric. In order to provide advantageous process conditions it is proposed that the web () of endless fabric which can be conveyed step by step in a predetermined conveying direction () in longitudinal sections () concerning the conveying direction is stitched in sections exclusively within the cutting region on the one hand and is cut on the other hand and is conveyed further by a conveying step according to the section length after each sectional sewing and cutting process.

Method for cutting out a cutting from a web of endless textile fabric for producing workpieces from a fiber/plastic composite

For making a nest of cuts (N) for cutting blanks out of flat, irregular workpieces (W), the contour (U) and the flaws (F) of the spread workpieces (W) together with a workpiece characteristic are detected by means of a digitizing unit (,), and the corresponding data are read into a computer (,), which on the basis of these data and the data stored in the computer (,) concerning number, shape and quality requirements of the blanks calculates and stores a nest of cuts and utilizes the detected workpiece characteristics of the workpieces (W) as a workpiece code for allocating the nests of cuts (N) to the respective workpieces (W). To provide for an economic nesting with an optimized detection of flaws and consideration of flaws, an interactive nesting is performed for selected partial areas (T) of the workpieces (W) prior to the automatic nesting on the part of the computer, in that images (B) of the blanks (Z) to be nested, which were provided by the computer (,) and can optically be superimposed on the workpieces (W) or an image of the workpieces, are positioned by specific control operations of the nester, preferably by control operations to be recognized by the digitizing unit, and are combined to partial nests (Nt) within the partial areas (T), whereupon the computer (,) calculates residual nests (Nr) for the remaining residual areas (R) of the workpieces (W), combines the residual nests (Nr) with the associated partial nests (Nt) and stores each of these combinations of partial and residual nests as nest of cuts (N) for the individual workpieces (W).

Method of making a nest of cuts

A cutting machine for cutting a flat workpiece comprises a cutting table having a working surface for supporting the flat workpiece, a support movable parallel to the working surface, and a cutting unit mounted on the support above the working surface, the cutting unit comprising a cutting knife vertically adjustable relative to the working surface to regulate the cutting depth of the knife, a vertically displaceable carriage for the cutting knife for vertically adjusting the knife, a cutting knife holder rotatable about a vertical axis for orienting the knife in a desired direction, and drives actuatable for displacing the carriage, rotating the holder and moving the support in response to a programmable control. To engage the position of the cutting knife to be efficiently adjusted, a setting device is provided, the setting device comprising a vertically extending positioning path indicator arranged to indicate the actual position of the cutting knife in a set position and to transmit to the control a signal corresponding to a deviation of the actual position from a pre-set vertical position of the indicator relative to the working surface whereby a reference point for the vertical adjustment of the cutting knife is put in the control.
