The present application relates to compositions for treatment of eye disorders, particularly for treatment of dry eye disease (DED) and meibomianitis, wherein the composition comprises very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Further, the invention provides a method for treatment of DED and meibomianitis of a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids derived from natural oils. The compositions for use are suitable for oral and local applications.

Composition for treatment of dry eye disease and meibomianitis

A method of producing a composition comprising a high concentration of very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (VLCPUFAs) from natural oils such as fish oil, squid oil, algal oil and krill oil. In addition, a composition comprising a high concentration of very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids isolated from such natural sources; as well as to a process for isolating separate fractions of very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids having identical chain lengths but different degrees of unsaturation from such highly concentrated compositions is disclosed.

In addition, the present invention relates to a health supplement, a pharmaceutical and an animal feed product prepared according to the process mentioned above.

Process for decreasing environmental pollutants in an oil or a fat

This invention relates to a new silage aid, process for preparation of this silage aid and use of the silage aid. The silage aid comprises at least one antioxidant selected from the group 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol (BHT), 3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole (BHA), tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), tocopherol and gallates; at least one short chain caboxylic acid; and optionally at least one salt of said acid. These andoxidants are food approve. The present silage aid is useful for preservation of organic by-products, and particularly for protection of fish oil during a fish silage process.

This invention relates to a new pigment in feed for salmonides, a new feed comprising this pigment and use of this pigment. The pigment comprises a diester of astaxanthin prepared with an omega-3 fatty acid and/or a short chain carboxylic acid. By this invention a pigment for feed to salmonides that is more stable and biologically more effective than free astaxanthin and commercially available astaxanthin product, is provided.
