Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a device may select antenna elements from a planar array to transmit or receive an orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam. The device may determine a first area (e.g., a first ring area) based on an angular direction over which the device can communicate an OAM beam with a second device and may determine a second area (e.g., a second ring area) on the planar array based on projecting the first area on the planar array. The device may select a set of antenna elements from the planar array that are located within the second area. The device may determine a complex-valued weight for each antenna element of the selected set of antenna elements and may transmit or receive an OAM beam to or from the second device via the set of antenna elements according to the angular direction.

Generating and steering orbital angular momentum beams

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for reducing channel state information (CSI) feedback overhead sent from one or more user equipments (UEs) to a network entity, such as a base station (BS) or gNodeB (gNB), while ensuring correct mapping of the CSI feedback at the network entity. In some cases, the overhead reduction may be achieved by converting the CSI feedback to size-reduced and further quantized representative coefficients (e.g., for multiple UEs). The quantized coefficients allow the network entity to recover the CSI feedback by de-quantizing and correctly mapping the quantized coefficients to recover the CSI feedback.

Providing channel state information (CSI) feedback

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to transmit data to a network device using an unencoded signal that includes parameters for updating a local data model. The UE may receive a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) to decode a resource allocation message that schedules uplink resources for the transmission of the parameters, where the RNTI may be a dedicated RNTI that is different from other RNTIs received by the UE. The UE may identify allocated resources as scheduled by the resource allocation message, and may apply analog modulation and pre-equalization parameters to a data block to form an unencoded uplink transmission that includes the model parameters. The UE may transmit the unencoded uplink message in accordance with an over-the-air computation procedure.

Resource allocation for over-the-air model aggregation in federated learning

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a channel state information (CSI) report configuration that includes configuration information associated with multiple CSI reports. An example method generally includes receiving, from a user equipment (UE) through a serving network entity, a request for information from the V2X application server, wherein the request includes an indication of a type of the requested information and a location of the UE; identifying one or more parameters for transmission of the requested information to the UE via a transmitter UE; and transmitting, to the serving network entity, the requested information for transmission to the UE through the transmitter UE based on the identified parameters.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify multiple resource element (RE) segments associated with a scheduled communication that includes a source bit sequence, each RE segment including one or more REs in one or more scheduled physical resource blocks associated with the scheduled communication. The UE may communicate with a device based at least in part on respective energies on the one or more REs included in the multiple RE segments associated with the scheduled communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant scheduling an uplink transmission that is not aligned with a fixed frame period (FFP) boundary configured for the UE. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) including an indication that the UE is to initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) acquisition in association with transmitting the uplink transmission. The UE may modify the indication based at least in part on the uplink transmission not being aligned with the FFP boundary and the indication indicating that the UE is to initiate the COT acquisition. Techniques for operation when a scheduled uplink transmission is misaligned with a fixed frame period

Wireless communications systems and methods related to cross Component Carrier (CC) transmission are provided that assist in minimizing PAPR. A first wireless communications device repeats data across multiple CCs in order to increase coverage while maintaining power levels within approved limits. In order to reduce PAPR, a number of different methods and mechanisms may be used. Rate matching may be performed across the multiple CCs as though a single virtual BWP. Alternatively, each copy of the data on its separate CC may be modified differently in some way, such as by using different scrambling IDs or different redundancy versions. Additionally, when utilizing DFT-s-OFDM modulation, an alternative method is provided which may lower PAPR. The DFT method includes performing a DFT on the combined data, tone mapping to each of the carriers, and performing an IFFT for each carrier individually. Each IFFT may be different than the other.

An orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) configuration of an uplink channel is identified for communications in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. An OFDMA waveform is generated based on the identified OFDMA configuration. The OFDMA waveform is communicated in a signal in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. A virtual cell identifier of a first base station may be associated with transmissions between the first base station and a first user equipment (UE). A set of common resource blocks may be identified for transmission of a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) between the first base station and the first UE. A configuration of an uplink channel may be dynamically selected for uplink communications in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. A waveform may be generated based on the selected configuration. The waveform may be communicated in a signal in the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band.
