This disclosure details exemplary immersion cooling battery array designs for use in electrified vehicle battery packs or other electrified components. An exemplary battery array design may include a battery subassembly including a compressible spacer assembly and a plurality of battery cells held by the compressible spacer assembly. The battery subassembly may be surrounded by an outer shell assembly. A non-conductive (i.e., dielectric) fluid may be received and communicated inside the outer shell assembly for thermally managing heat generated by the battery cells.

Immersion cooling battery array designs for electrified vehicle battery packs

Methods and systems are provided for preventing compressor surge while improving compressor efficiency and performance. In one example, a method may include a recirculation passage in a compressor configured with a casing treatment and the recirculation passage being cooled by a cooling jacket within the compressor housing wall. In another example, the recirculation passage includes guide vanes.

Water-cooled casing treatment

Systems and methods for detecting ammonia slip in an exhaust system based upon transient NOx sensor responses are described. In one example method, an exhaust system allocates tailpipe NOx sensor output to NOx and NHlevels responsive to the transient sensors using a segment length method that processes the transient signals based on the total segment lengths calculated within a window. A ratio of segment lengths relative to a threshold is determined for a measured and expected NOx rate of change downstream of an SCR that is further used to determine a probability of NOx and NHbased on the measured sensor activities, and a controller is included to adjust one or more parameters based on the allocation and changes of sensor output.
