Capacitive touch sensor and method

Digital to analog converters have first and second to analog arrays. The first digital to analog array has a reference input, a reference output, a first digital input that is connectable to a digital signal, and an analog output. The second digital to analog array includes a reference input, a reference output that is coupled to the reference input of the first digital to analog array, a plurality of switches coupled to the reference input, and a plurality of resistors coupled between the switches and the reference output.

Digital to analog converter

A touch sensor apparatus includes a grid of intersecting sensor lines, a plurality of input/output (IO) pins, a plurality of diodes, a processor coupled to the IO pins. More specifically, each intersection includes a capacitor coupling together the intersecting sensor lines. Each diode is coupled to a corresponding IO pin, wherein each IO pin couples through its corresponding diode to a channel of intersection points of the sensor lines and, without the diode, each IO pin couples to a different channel of intersecting points of the sensor lines. The processor is configured to sequentially provide a transmit signal through each IO pin while detecting a response signal on the other IO pins.

Capacitive touch sensing

In an embodiment of the invention, a method is provided for isolating a ferroelectric memory from a power supply during a write-back cycle or a write cycle of the ferroelectric memory. After it is determined that a write-back cycle or a write cycle will occur in the ferroelectric memory, the power supply is electrically disconnected from the ferroelectric memory before a write-back cycle or a write cycle occurs. Energy during the write-back cycle or the write cycle is provided to the ferroelectric memory by one or more capacitors in this embodiment. After the write-back cycle or the write cycle has ended, the power supply is electrically connected to the ferroelectric memory and the capacitors.
