The application provides a method for rasterization. According to the method, a primitive may be divided, at a position where a color abruptly changes in the primitive, into a plurality of sub-primitives with continuously and gradually changing colors. Each of the sub-primitives is then rasterized. The present application further provides an apparatus for rasterizing an image. The apparatus may comprise a dividing module configured to divide a primitive at a position where a color abruptly changes into a plurality of sub-primitives with continuously gradually changing colors. Furthermore, the apparatus may comprise a rasterizing module configure to rasterize each of the sub-primitives. The application may improve the speed of the rasterization and the quality of the processed image.

Method and apparatus for rasterization

A method for improving a speed of rasterizing transparent images, comprising determining, from P graphic entity objects on a transparent page, M transparent images and N nontransparent images. Each of the N nontransparent images includes an intersecting area with one of the M transparent images, P is an integer larger than 0, M is an integer larger than 0 and smaller than or equal to P, N is an integer larger than or equal to 0 and smaller than P, and P=M+N. The method also comprises determining a page-level transparent area and a page-level de-transparentizing area of the P graphic entity objects. Contributions of the transparent images and the nontransparent images to the page-level transparent area and the page-level de-transparentizing area are calculated using different methods. The methods further comprises assembling the M transparent images according to the page-level transparent area and the page-level de-transparentizing area.

Method and apparatus for improving speed of rasterizing transparent images

A method for rasterizing a transparent page comprises interpreting the transparent page to obtain graphic entities, transparency properties of the graphic entities, and profile information of the graphic entities; dividing the transparent page into a transparent area and a nontransparent area according to the transparency properties of the graphic entities; identifying, from the graphic entities, an overlapping graphic entity having an overlapping portion with the transparent area according to the profile information of the graphic entities; and dividing the transparent area into a de-transparentizing area and an ultimate transparent area by using the overlapping graphic entity.

Method and apparatus for rasterizing transparent page

The invention relates to a technical field of graphic image processing, especially to a technology for simplifying a complex path. The invention provides a method and a device for simplifying a complex path, to accomplish simplification of any complex path into a simple path of a region described by the complex path. The method for simplifying a complex path comprises: parsing the complex path into a vector linked-list consisted of linked monotonic vectors; dividing each vector in the vector linked-list into vector segments according to intersection points of the vector with other vectors in the vector linked-list; and extracting from all vector segments the vector segments located on a boundary of a region defined by the complex path, and connecting the extracted vector segments according to their location to obtain a simple path. According the method of the present application, a complex path can be simplified to a simplest path defining a region by utilizing node scanning process, such that operations on a vector level for a complex path can be realized.

Method and device for simplifying a complex path

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically testing a raster image processor. The method may identify the correctness of the bitmap output by the raster image processor to be tested by comparing an abstract code of a bitmap generated by the RIP to be tested with that generated by a reference RIP to determine whether they are consistent with each other, so as to identify the correctness and stability of the RIP to be tested. Furthermore, the test samples can be submitted automatically. Thus, the convenience and efficiency are improved with respect to the manual submitting.

Method and system for automatically testing a raster image processor

A method for rasterizing transparent pages scans each transparent page twice. The first scanning syntactically interprets a page description file of the transparent page, divides it into page blocks, and writes information of image element objects and transparency parameters into intermediate files. The second scanning reads the image element objects and the transparency parameters from the intermediate files and builds a page bitmap in blocks. A device for rasterizing transparent pages includes interpreting, dividing, file storing and building units. The interpreting unit implements syntactical interpretation. The dividing unit divides pages into transparent and nontransparent page blocks. The building unit implements rasterization according to the transparent or nontransparent page blocks, the information of image element objects and the transparent parameters to build a page bitmap in blocks. The methods and devices herein improve the efficiency of building a page bitmap and decrease memory utilization during generation of the page bitmap.
