A display device including a display module and an illuminating module is disclosed. The illuminating module is disposed on a display surface of the display module, and includes a light source, a light guide plate, and an optical film. The optical film is disposed between the display module and the light guide plate, and includes a basal layer and a microstructure layer. The microstructure layer is disposed between a surface of the basal layer and the light guide plate, and includes multiple microstructures. Each microstructure includes a first surface and a second surface. A first angle is between the first surface and a datum plane. A second angle is between the second surface and the datum plane. The first angle and the second angle are greater than or equal to 40 degrees and less than or equal to 90 degrees.

Optical film including microstructure layer and display device including the same

An optical film includes a grid layer having a first surface, a second surface, light-shading portions, and light-transmitting portions. The light-shading portions and the light-transmitting portions are located between the first surface and the second surface, and the light-shading portions and the light-transmitting portions are alternately arranged along the first surface. Each light-shading portion has a third surface, a fourth surface, a fifth surface, a sixth surface, and a seventh surface. An angle between the fourth and third surfaces is A1, an angle between the fifth and third surfaces is A2, an angle between the sixth and second surfaces is A3, and an angle between the seventh and second surfaces is A4. Wherein 85°<A1≤90°, 85°<A2≤90°, 0°<A3<85°, 0°<A4<85°, A2≠A4, and A1≠A3. A display device is also provided.

Optical film and display device

A light guide plate including a light emitting surface, a bottom surface, a light incident surface, multiple protrusion structures, and multiple grooves is provided. The light incident surface is connected between the light emitting surface and the bottom surface. The protrusion structures are disposed along a first direction and extend toward a second direction. The protrusion structures have a light condensing angle along the first direction, and the light condensing angle ranges from 10 degrees to 40 degrees. The grooves are disposed in the protrusion structures of the light guide plate. The grooves extend toward the first direction. The protrusion structures have a light receiving surface that defines each groove and is closer to the light incident surface. An angle between the light receiving surface and the bottom surface ranges from 35 degrees to 65 degrees. A display apparatus adopting the light guide plate is also provided.

Light condensing light guide plate and display apparatus

A backlight module includes a light guide plate, a light source, an optical film, and a prism sheet. The optical film includes a first substrate having opposite first and second surfaces and multiple optical microstructures disposed on the second surface and each having a first light receiving surface away from a light incident surface. The prism sheet is located on a side of the second surface of the first substrate. The prism sheet includes a second substrate having opposite third and fourth surfaces and multiple prism structures disposed on the fourth surface and each having a second light receiving surface away from the light incident surface. A first angle between the first light receiving surface and the second surface is different from a second angle between the second light receiving surface and the fourth surface. A display apparatus includes the backlight module and a display panel.

Backlight module and display apparatus

A light source module including a first light guide plate, a first light source, a second light guide plate, a second light source, and a turning film is provided. The first light guide plate and the second light guide plate are sequentially stacked up. The second light guide plate is disposed between the first light guide plate and the turning film. The turning film has a plurality of prism columns, the prism columns face the second light guide plate. The first light guide plate includes a first light exiting surface, the first light exiting surface is located at a side facing the turning film and has a plurality of lenticular lens structures. The lenticular lens structures are arranged along a first direction and extended along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Besides, a display apparatus is also provided.

Light source module and display apparatus

A light source module includes a light guide plate, a light source, a first prism sheet, a second prism sheet and a third prism sheet. The light guide plate includes a light emitting surface, a bottom surface and a light incident surface. The light source is disposed on the light incident surface and emits a beam into the light guide plate through the light incident surface. The first prism sheet is disposed on the light emitting surface and includes a plurality of first prism units located between the light emitting surface and the second prism sheet. The second prism sheet includes a plurality of second prism units extending in a first direction and located between the first prism sheet and the third prism sheet. The third prism sheet includes a plurality of third prism units extending in a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction.

Light source module and prism sheet thereof

A light source module includes a light guide plate, a light source, a first prism sheet and a reflection sheet. The light guide plate includes a light exit surface, a bottom surface opposite to the light exit surface, and a light entrance surface connected to the light exit surface and the bottom surface. The light source is disposed beside the light entrance surface and adapted to emit a light beam to the light entrance surface. The first prism sheet is disposed on the light exit surface and includes first prism units. A surface of the first prism units faces away from the light exit surface. The reflection sheet is disposed on the bottom surface. The light guide plate is located between the reflection sheet and the first prism sheet. The reflection sheet includes microstructures. A surface of the microstructures faces the bottom surface of the light guide plate.

Light source module

A backlight module includes at least one point light source and a light guide plate. The light guide plate includes a light emitting surface, a bottom surface, a light incident surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a first microstructure, and a second microstructure. The bottom surface is opposite to the light emitting surface, the light incident surface connects the light emitting surface and the bottom surface, the point light source is disposed adjacent to the light incident surface, and the first microstructure is formed on the light incident surface. The first side surface is opposite to the light incident surface and connects the light emitting surface and the bottom surface, and the second side surface connects the light emitting surface, the bottom surface, the light incident surface, and the first side surface. The second microstructure is formed on the second side surface.

Backlight module and liquid crystal display comprising a light guide plate with first, second, third microstructures, and a plurality of pillars

A light guide plate includes a transparent substrate and a plurality of micro structures. The transparent substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and the micro structures are disposed at least on the first surface of the transparent substrate and are separate from each other. Each of the micro structures includes a first coating layer and a second coating layer. The first coating layer is formed on the first surface and includes an adhesive material. The second coating layer is formed on at least a part of the first coating layer and includes a light-diffusing material.

Light guide plate and backlight module

A prism sheet including a transparent substrate, a plurality of prism rods and at least one optical grating structure is provided. The transparent substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The prism rods are disposed on the first surface, wherein each of the prism rods extends along a first direction, and the prism rods are arranged along a second direction. The optical grating structure is disposed on the first surface and located between two adjacent ones of the prism rods, wherein the optical grating structure extends along the first direction. In addition, a backlight module using the above-mentioned prism sheet is also provided.
