Coaptation assist device for repairing cardiac valves and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A coaptation assist device configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a fixation member configured to press against cardiac tissue proximate to a native valve annulus, and a stationary coaptation structure extending away from the fixation member. The coaptation structure can include an anterior surface configured to coapt with a first native leaflet during systole and a posterior surface configured to displace at least a portion of a second native leaflet. The device also includes at least one sensor configured to detect parameters associated with at least one of cardiac function and device functionality. The sensors can be pressure sensors configured to detect left atrial pressure and/or left ventricular pressure.

Implantable coaptation assist devices with sensors and associated systems and methods

Devices and methods are disclosed herein for accessing the hip joint. A first device can be securely attached to the capsule of a joint. The first device can tent the capsule to increase the volume of the peripheral compartment. A second device can be biased against the first device to pierce the tented capsule and create a portal. Devices and methods are also disclosed herein for distending the capsule of a joint. A distention device may access a portal established within the capsule. The distention device can expand the capsule by applying an expansive force within the peripheral compartment. The distention device can maintain distention of the peripheral compartment while other devices access the joint.

A heart valve repair device may include a support configured to extend through a native annulus of a native heart valve, wherein the support comprises an upstream portion and a downstream portion; an annular expandable retainer extending from the upstream portion of the support, and an arm extending from the downstream portion of the support. The annular expandable retainer may include a C-shaped cross-section that is open inwardly. The arm may be configured to reach behind a leaflet of the native heart valve and sandwich the leaflet between the arm and the support.

Systems and methods are provided for removal of clot material from a treatment site in a blood vessel, particularly in venous vasculature. A treatment device () can include a core member () having a distal portion () and an inner coil () surrounding the distal portion of the core member. A helical outer member () surrounds at least a portion of the inner coil, and a sheet of flexible material () extends between the inner coil and the helical outer member, such that the sheet extends helically around the inner coil to provide a surface for clot engagement at the treatment site.

The shunt is passed along a pathway from the anterior chamber through the scleral spur of the eye into the suprachoroidal space and positioned in a first position such that a first portion of the fluid passageway communicates with the anterior chamber and a second portion of the fluid passageway communicates with the suprachoroidal space to provide a fluid passageway between the suprachoroidal space and the anterior chamber.

The releasing agent may be configured to dissolve when the depot is placed in vivo to form diffusion openings in the control region. The depot may be configured to be implanted at a treatment site in vivo and, while implanted, release the therapeutic agent at the treatment site for no less than 3 days.

The wire includes first and second legs alternatingly disposed along the wire path and extending distally and proximally, respectively, in a circumferential direction about the longitudinal axis. The implant is configured to transition from a low-profile delivery state to an expanded deployed state at a treatment location and to allow mucociliary clearance from immediately distal to the implant to immediately proximal to the implant while the in deployed at the treatment location.

In one example, a treatment device includes an expandable element configured to be positioned within the passage and a reinforcing element. The expandable element may have an expanded configuration in which the expandable element defines a lumen therethrough. The reinforcing element may be coupled to the expandable element such that expansion of the expandable element causes the reinforcing element to radially expand, thereby creating a perfusion lumen through the device.

The delivery catheter can include a proximal portion and a distal portion, and the attachment assembly can be at the distal portion of the delivery catheter. The attachment assembly can include arm pairs in which individual arm pairs include a first arm with connector and a second arm with a retainer. Each first arm extends along a corresponding second arm, and the first arm and/or the second arm in each arm pair moves relative to the other from a locked position to a released position. In the locked position, the retainer interfaces with the connector to maintain engagement between the implantable device and the connector. In the released position, the retainer is positioned relative to the connector such that the implantable device can disengage the connector.
