A disposable device for analyzing body fluid especially for blood sugar tests includes a container which can be inserted into a measuring apparatus, a sampling member provided in the container to pierce skin of a body part and sample body fluid, and a test member for receiving body fluid obtained by the skin-piercing. In one form, the test member is fixed in a retaining chamber of the container, and the sampling member is configured in the same retaining chamber such that it is separated at a distance from the test member in an initial state and is in contact with the test member to transfer body fluid in a transfer state after the skin-piercing.

A portable analysis appliance includes a housing and a magazine for holding test elements. A delivery device is provided for delivering the test elements from a first position in the interior of the magazine to a second position lying at least partially outside the magazine and inside the housing. The delivery of the test elements including a first movement out of the interior of the magazine and a second movement by means of a guide into a presentation position.

A device for conducting a transmission measurement includes a system for generating a light wave consisting of a first and a second wavelength fraction, in addition to an optical channel guiding the light wave to a sample tube with a sample, wherein the light wave permeates the sample tube with a sample. The device also has a motion unit for producing a relative movement of the light wave along the sample tube. A receiver for receiving and separating the first and second wavelength fragments after the light wave has permeated the sample tube with a sample is also provided. A converter converts the first wavelength fraction into a first digital measuring value describing the degree of transmission in the first wavelength and converts the second wavelength fraction into a second digital measuring value describing the degree of transmission in the second wavelength. Quotients are formed from the first digital measuring values and the second digital measuring values by an evaluation system and the first derivative of the quotients is calculated.
