A display device includes a pixel on a substrate. The pixel includes a gate line and a data line on the substrate; a pixel circuit configured to be electrically connected to the gate line and the data line; a light emitting device configured to be electrically connected to the pixel circuit; and a planarization layer configured on the pixel circuit to cover the light emitting device, wherein the light emitting device is surrounded by the planarization layer.

Light emitting diode display device

A display device can include a substrate on which a semiconductor element and a common electrode are disposed; a light emitting diode which is disposed on the substrate and includes an n-type layer, a light emitting layer, and a p-type layer; an insulating layer disposed on the substrate and the light emitting diode; and a first connecting electrode which is connected to the light emitting diode and the semiconductor element. Accordingly, it is possible to minimize defects which can be caused during a process of disposing the light emitting diode on the substrate.

Discussed is a light emitting diode display device including a plurality of pixels displaying an image based on a data signal, the plurality of pixels each including: a first and second light emitting diode devices emitting light, a first and second driving transistors electrically connected to the first and second light emitting diode devices respectively, an insulation layer covering the first and second driving transistors and a planarization layer on the insulation layer and an adhesive member between the insulation layer and the first and the second light emitting diode devices, wherein each of the first and second light emitting diode devices includes: a first portion including a first electrode and a second electrode and a second portion opposite to the first portion, and wherein the adhesive member is interposed between the second portion of each of the first and the second light emitting diode devices and the insulation layer.

A display device and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. A display device includes: a substrate, a pixel circuit on the substrate, the pixel circuit including: a gate electrode, a drain electrode, and a source electrode, a vertical LED element on the substrate, the vertical LED element including: a first electrode, an active layer under the first electrode, and a second electrode under the active layer, an encapsulation film surrounding the vertical LED element, the encapsulation film exposing a portion of a side of the second electrode, a first connection electrode electrically connected to the first electrode, and a second connection electrode electrically connected to the second electrode.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed is a light emitting diode display device for minimizing a screen defect caused by a defect of a light emitting diode device. A protruding pattern is disposed on the base film. The first electrode and the second electrode are disposed on the base film and are spaced apart from each other with the protruding pattern therebetween. The third electrode is in contact with the protruding pattern. The thermochromic layer is disposed on the third electrode.

Disclosed is a light emitting diode display device in which a process time taken in a process of connecting a light emitting device to a pixel circuit is shortened. The light emitting diode display device includes a pixel including a driving thin film transistor (TFT) on a substrate, a first planarization layer covering the pixel, a concave portion in the first planarization layer, a light emitting device in the concave portion and including a first electrode and a second electrode, a second planarization layer covering the first planarization layer and the light emitting device, a pixel electrode electrically connected to the driving TFT and the first electrode of the light emitting device, and a common electrode electrically connected to the second electrode of the light emitting device. The pixel electrode and the common electrode are on the second planarization layer.
