An apparatus for handling information carriers has at least one longitudinally movable striplike belt which holds information carriers detachably and successively, and at least one device for detaching at least some information carriers from the belt, removing selected information carriers from the detached information carriers, and transferring other information carriers from the detached information carriers back onto the belt for being transported onwards.

The rotary screen printing machine has a form cylinder (1) which carries a screen printing stencil (3), and an impression cylinder (2) having at least one cylinder pit (4), in which sheet grippers (5) are installed. In their closing position, the sheet grippers (5) do not project above the printing surface of the impression cylinder (2). Arranged inside the form cylinder (1) is an adjustable doctor (6) which can be controlled by an actuating mechanism (7, 8, 9) in such a way that, during a printing operation, the doctor (6) is pressed against the inside of the screen printing stencil (3), but is lifted off from this screen printing stencil when the open region of a cylinder pit (4) of the impression cylinder (2) passes the form cylinder (1).

Rotary screen printing machine for sheet printing

A sequence of H sheets of notes, for example 100 sheets, is first of all checked for misprints, and the note positions having misprints of each sheet are stored in a computer. The sheets of this sequence then pass a numbering machine (4), which has freely programmable numbering units, which are controlled by the computer. In this case, the numbering takes place in such a way that all the satisfactory note prints within the sequence of sheets, excluding the misprints, receive a consecutive sequence of numbers, the sequence of numbers of H notes in one and the same note position being the continuation of the sequence of numbers of the H notes in a neighboring note position. The next sequence of H sheets receives the subsequent sequence of numbers. After numbering, stacks of sheets (FH) having H sheets each are formed, the stacks are cut into stacks of notes (W), and these stacks of notes are fed, ordered according to consecutive numbering, to a segregation and bundling device (9), in which the misprints are removed and in each case H successive satisfactory notes are combined to form a bundle (WB) having a complete sequence of numbers. In each case ten bundles are packed to form a pack of notes (P).

Each of the thread guide wings comprises a pair of leg members. Teeth located at the leg members of each pair mesh with an associated gear secured to an associated concentrically arranged adjustment shaft. By accomplishing relative motion between the adjustment shafts, which carry the thread guide wings, and the associated gear it is possible to adjust the diameter or lengthwise extent of the thread guide wings by displacing the leg members. A corresponding reduction or enlargement of the diameter or lengthwise extent of the thread guide wings causes a displacement of the thread transfer points and thus the stroke along which the thread is shifted. Altering the thread stroke can be accomplished by a stepping motor or as a function of the diameter of the bobbin upon which the thread is wound.
