In a compressor that can be used for supplying compressed air in motor vehicles and also for stationary systems, permanent oil filling is provided for cooling a compressor pressure area including a cylinder head and for lubricating a transmission area including a drive shaft and swash plate. The pressure area of the compressor that can be heated by the heat of compression and friction and the transmission area of the compressor are separated from one another by check valves with a delivery pump wheel being provided which transports the oil between the transmission area and the pressure area in such fashion that the oil that is heated in the pressure area is cooled in the transmission area. By cooling the oil in the transmission area, it is possible for a middle housing section of the compressor housing, as well as a housing section delimited by a cylinder head and receiving the piston arrangement, to be made of plastic.

Compressor for producing oil-free compressed air

In an axial piston compressor, especially a swash plate compressor for generating compressed air in motor vehicles, an oil-lubricated drive and an air compressor part that operates without oil are provided. The pistons that travel in cylinder bores under the guidance of a swash plate each have at their backs the intake chamber formed by chambers and a pressure chamber on the front. Intake valves are mounted on the pistons, while pressure valves are provided in cylinder head, cooled by cooling oil or water. The seal between oil-lubricated drive and the compressor part that operates without oil is provided by sealing elements that act on the outer circumference of the piston rods of the pistons. Compressor for generating compressed air in motor vehicles

The invention relates to a fuse for a satellite projectile that is expelled from a carrier projectile. In order to maintain a defined ignition time within narrow tolerances, despite initial blind position of the fuse immediately after the expulsion of the satellite projectile, the firing pin 7 is centrally arranged in the interior of a key-shaped cover 12 which is movably disposed in the interior of a housing 1. The wall 12' of the cover 12 has a plurality of recesses 5' into which there engage a corresponding number of locking pins 5 mounted on sheet metal springs 4. These springs 4 are radially outwardly swingable and are secured to the housing 1. The locking pins 5 prevent an axial movement of the firing pin 7 during the safety inactive-position-period and prevent thereby a radial outward swinging of the detonator support 15 into the ignition position. The lockings pins 5 are capable of being swung outwardly in a radial direction out of the wall of the cover 12 only after the unwinding of a wound band 11, whereby the ignition process can be introduced.

Fuse for a satellite projectile

An underwater ignition device is provided comprising a rotor, a detonator disposed at the rotor, a locking pin secured in position by a safety pin, a release pin maintained in position by the locking pin, a first water pressure safety device normally engaging the rotor and preventing a rotating motion of the rotor into an ignition position and a second water pressure safety device actuable after the locking pin is removed and after the first water pressure safety device has been actuated and capable of actuating the release pin for rotating the rotor into an ignition position. An ignition circuit employed comprises a digital logic connected to an analog receiver, dual driver stages connected to the digital logic, parallel discharge circuits connected to the dual driver stages and to a detonator and the voltage supply and suitable for selectively igniting the detonator or for short circuiting the voltage supply. The digital logic actuates two discharge circuits in successive time intervals (t.sub.1, t.sub.2, t.sub.3) depending on two frequency and time correlated input signals.

Underwater detonating device

In a spin-stabilized projectile, an improved ignition fuse arrangement for a pyrotechnic ignition charge. The ignition charge is mounted in a rotor which is movable from a safety position to an armed (active) position. This rotor is held by actuating means in the safety position and is released by the actuating means and moves to the armed position when the projectile has been subjected to predetermined centrifugal and inertial forces. The actuating means include biasing means which are biased against the rotor to maintain it in its safety position. The actuating means also includes at least two release balls which coact with ball support surfaces of a ball support member which are inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ignition fuse arrangement; at least one blocking ball is operatively mounted in the actuating means for blocking at least one release ball when the projectile is in a non-spinning state and unblocking the release ball when the projectile has reached a predetermined spin velocity, so that the actuating means move to release the rotor against the action of the biasing means which thereby swings into its armed position. This blocking ball constitutes a first safety means. A second safety means is provided in the rear part of the ignition fuse arrangement by means of a massive pin which is slidably mounted in a bore which is parallel but eccentric with respect to the longitudinal axis of the ignition fuse arrangement and this massive pin is adapted to engage the rotor and maintain it in its safety position and to release the rotor when the massive pin has been subjected to predetermined inertial forces.

A fuse apparatus for a depth charge or the like has a primary fuse that operates at a relatively shallow depth to position a detonator in line with a firing pin, and a secondary fuse that operates to release the firing pin to explose the detonator. A safety mechanism normally prevents operation of the primary fuse, but can be canceled to allow such operation. The secondary fuse cannot itself operate until the primary fuse has operated, so that the two fuses must operate successively to set off the detonator. In addition the two fuses operate along mutually perpendicular axes, so accidental jarring of the device cannot set it off. Finally the arrangement is constructed to leak slightly so that in the event it fails to go off it will rapidly become inoperative.
