A server for producing at least one speech dialogue application stores a formal description of a speech dialogue programmed into the description language and speech models for dialogue steps of the speech dialogue. A broadcasting transmitter digitally transmits produced speech dialogue applications to a radio set of mobile end terminals which are arranged in the transmission area thereof.

Method and system for providing speech dialogue applications

At least one transaction and at least one transaction parameter that is allocated thereto are determined based on at least one user statement in order to trigger at least one first and second background application via a universal language dialogue system, first transactions and first transaction parameters being assigned to the first background application and second transactions and second transaction parameters being associated with the second background application. The first and second transactions as well as the first and second transaction parameters are linked together via a universal dialogue specification which is evaluated to determine the at least one transaction and at least on associated transaction parameter in order to trigger at least one of the background application via the universal language dialogue system.

In many application environments, it is desirable to provide voice access to tables on Internet pages, where the user asks a subject-related question in a natural language and receives an adequate answer from the table read out to him in a natural language. A method is disclosed for preparing information presented in a tabular form for a speech dialogue system so that the information of the table can be consulted in a user dialogue in a targeted manner.

In a three-stage speech recognition process, a phoneme sequence is first assigned to a speech unit, then those vocabulary entries which are most similar to the phoneme sequence are sought in a selection vocabulary, and finally the speech unit is recognized using a speech unit recognizer which uses, as its vocabulary, the selected vocabulary entries which are most like the phoneme sequence.

Three-stage individual word recognition

The text to be classified is compared with the contents of a relevance lexicon in which the significant words of the texts to be classified per text class and their relevance to the text classes is stored. The fuzzy set is calculated which specifies for the significant words of the text to be classified, their occurrence per text class and their relevance to the text class. A probability calculation is used for determining the probability with which the fuzzy set occurs per class for the corresponding class. The class having the highest probability is selected and the text is allocated to this class.

Proceeding from a command or request that a user (B) gives a speech recognition system, an action is first determined from a prescribable plurality of actions upon employment of action indicators that the action information pertains to. A first set of actions is thereby determined and stored wherein all action indicators coincide with the key concepts. Further, a second set of actions is determined and stored wherein at least a part of the action indicators coincide with the key concepts. The first set of actions and/or the second set of actions is employed as a basis for the unambiguous determination of the action. For the at least one determined action, the action parameters respectfully allocated to the action are determined upon employment of a parameter parser (PP). The sought action is implemented in a last step.
