A burner for the operation of premixing burners, with gaseous fuels or vaporized fuels for the production in a mixer pipe of a homogeneous mixture comprising the fuel, the quantity of combustion air required for the complete combustion of the fuel and additional cooling gas as needed for combustion between 1,100.degree. and 1,700.degree. C. This mixture flows to a burner head with a widening cross-section and a burner plate at the wide end where it is burnt at a central main flame bore arranged at the burner plate and several surrounding support flame bores. The flames then pass through a converging burner mouth and a downstream flame guard which protects the flames against the entrance of air or flue gas from the environment, against cooling and against heating until the completion of combustion. The burner mouth and the flame guard are coated by a non-catalytic material. The waste gas at the outlet of the flame guard contains very little nitrogen oxides and is therefore highly suited for further utilization such as foodstuff drying.

Burner

A cooking station for gas ranges whose burner works with super-stoichiometric combustion air premixing. The burner head arranged in a burner tray is connected with a mixing pipe via a ceramic insulating ring. Between the burner head bottom and the burner head lid with the flat topside, we have two perforated flame opening rings which are arranged concentrically with respect to the burner axis, which are resistant to heat and which are resistant to oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The perforation of the inner flame-opening ring is so dimensioned that the flames cannot backfire. Below the burner tray there is arranged a reflector. The cooking station can be covered with a glass ceramics plate. The invention achieves stable flame performance, perfect combustion, and waste gas poor in harmful substances at nominal load and at small adjustment heat load within a vast utilization field of gases with differing Wobbe indexes as well as a start-up cooking efficiency improvement compared to known burners.

Cooking station for gas ranges

A burner having an air intake at atmospheric pressure, a gas (fuel) supply line and a combustion chamber in which gas from the latter line burns in the presence of atmospheric air drawn in from the intake, is provided with a swingable or rotatable flap-type valve member which controls the volume rate of flow of the air to the combustion site. According to the invention, the position of the valve member is controlled by a parameter generated by the air stream and in response to the pressure in the gas supply line to maintain the air factor (ratio of air to gas) substantially constant. To this end a membrane type pressure detector responds to the pressure in the gas supply line and is connected by a mechanical force transmission mechanism to the flap or other valve element.

Device for controlling the air supply for a gas burner

The invention concerns a heating system incorporating an absorption-type heat pump where the generator is heated by an aerated gas burner combusting a fuel-lean mixture whose efficiency is very high both at full and at part load and whose flue gas has a very low nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide content. The mixture of fuel gas and combustion air flows from at least one mixer tube 2 into a mixer 3 and is fired on the burner plate 4 cooled by a rich solution which is arranged at a distance of less than 50 mm from the generator 17. When the generator is of the vertical type, a burner is preferably installed where the burner plate surrounds the generator concentrically at such a distance from the bottom of the generator that only the central section of the generator is directly heated. Preferably two heat exchangers are located in the flue duct downstream of the generator to recover the waste heat, including the heat of condensation. The invention calls for the installation of a second burner 19 upstream of the first heat exchanger 9 which will light up and replace the burner for heating the generator, if the temperature falls below a preset lower temperature limit so that the heating system will meet demand even at very low outdoor temperatures.

Heating system incorporating an absorption-type heat pump and methods

The method and apparatus sucks the entire combustion air volume in laterally with respect to the direction of flow of the air current with the help of the impulse of a fuel gas jet out of the air current into a mixing pipe and the formation of a differential pressure between the mixing pipe input and the waste gas output into the air current is prevented with the help of current guidance sheet metal pieces. The burner is arranged in a shaft-like housing, the fuel gas nozzle and the lower part of mixing pipe are surrounded by a pot-shaped current guidance sheet metal piece. A cylindrical current guidance sheet metal piece adjoins the cooled burner plate. The burner which, for example, can be used in dryers, for heating room air with so-called make-up air units and in gas water heaters, operates completely independently of the air flowing around it in a wide heat load range, without any change in the air coefficient. Because of the super-stoichiometric premixing of the burning gas with the air, the NO.sub.x content of the waste gas is extraordinarily small.

Device for controlling the air supply to a gas burner

A process and apparatus for the combustion-less measurement and/or regulation of the feeding of quantities of heat to gas combustion devices, particularly natural-gas combustion devices. A fuel gas or a partial stream of the fuel gas is fed through a fuel gas line containing at least one flow resistor which produces a laminar flow and a pressure drop. The gas volume flow and/or the pressure drop over at least one flow resistor is measured by a volume flow metering device and a difference pressure regulator, respectively, the pressure drops and/or volume flows which are not measured being maintained constant. Process and apparatus for the combustionless measurement and/or control

Fine-grained fuels such as coal are continuously degasified by a process wherein a fine-grained degasified residue is recirculated as a heat-carrying medium and is heated in a pneumatic conveyor line and then fed to a collecting vessel. A first partial stream of the heat-carrying medium is fed through a mixing zone together with the fuel to be subjected to dry distillation. A second partial stream of the heat-carrying medium is fed to a secondary degasification zone together with the mixture comprising the dry distillation residue. Volatile constituents are distilled from the mixture in the mixing zone and the secondary degasification zone and are fed to dust-collecting and condensing means. Degasified residue is recirculated to the pneumatic conveyor line. The ratio of the rate of the second partial stream fed to the secondary gasification zone to the rate of the first partial stream of the degasified residue, which first partial stream is fed to the mixing zone for the dry distillation of the fuel, is between 0.2:1 and 15:1. The second partial stream is mixed with the dry distillation residue before the second partial stream is fed to the secondary degasification zone and degasified residue dust is discharged in a particle size of more than 75% below 0.3 mm.
