A cutting device comprising a cutting insert and a holding part with a beam part, extending in a longitudinal direction, and a clamping head, which projects beyond an upper side of the holding part with a projection, wherein the projection is connected to a first of two clamping fingers which between them form a receiving pocket for receiving the cutting insert. A clamping gap is provided underneath the projection to allow the first clamping finger to be elastically movable. The clamping gap opens out into the receiving pocket and runs from an end face of the holding part that is facing the workpiece to be worked in the longitudinal direction up to the rear end of said holding part, which rear end is arranged in the transitional region between the clamping head and the beam part. A coolant and/or lubricant guide is provided for feeding coolant and/or lubricant to a coolant and/or lubricant outlet arranged in the projection. The projection extends with a continuing portion in the longitudinal direction beyond the rear end of the clamping gap and the coolant and/or lubricant guide runs through the continuing portion.

Holder for a cutting device

The present invention relates to an indexable cutting insert which is provided with at least two bearing surfaces for securing to a holder, said at least two bearing surfaces being each subdivided into individual subsurfaces, wherein the at least two bearing surfaces, with respect to a center plane of the cutting insert, forms at least three edges in one half of said cutting insert, said edges bounding the subsurfaces for the formation of crowning, approximating to convexity, of the at least two bearing surfaces.

Indexable cutting insert

The present invention relates to a holder for a machining tool insert, in particular a lancing or cutting insert, having an approximately beam-shaped cutter holder, a cavity formed inside the end thereof, which serves as a receiving pocket for the tool insert and is bounded by clamping jaws that define the clearance width of the receiving pocket, a slot extending with a first end to within the proximity of the inner edge of the receiving pocket so as to permit elastic pivotability of one of the clamping jaws, and having a clamping arrangement comprising an actuation member for producing a clamping force that acts within the region of the slot upon the pivotable clamping jaw. In order to attain improved absorption of transverse force components acting upon the pivotable clamping jaw, it is furthermore provided in said holder that the second end of the slot extends within the proximity of the lateral edge of the cutter holder, with an elastic connecting web that bridges the second end of the slot being disposed between the pivotable clamping jaw and the cutter holder.

Holder for a chip-removing tool insert

The invention relates to a broaching tool, in particular a keyway broaching tool, comprising a holder which defines a longitudinal axis and has a shank, extending in the longitudinal direction, as support for a cutting body which can be fixed in a seat of the shank by means of a clamping device. The seat has a passage which is at a distance from the free end of the shank and extends transversely to the longitudinal axis and the inside of which forms guide surfaces for bearing surfaces of the cutting body, which can be inserted into the passage in an insertion direction. An end-position limit for the inserted cutting body is formed on guide surfaces and on associated bearing surfaces. The clamping device produces a force component on the cutting body which presses the latter against the end-position limit.
