A two-wheeled vehicle includes a frame assembly having a front end and a rear end extending along a longitudinally-extending centerline, a front ground-engaging member operably coupled to the front end of the frame assembly at a front rotational axis, and a rear ground-engaging member operably coupled to the rear end of the frame assembly at a rear rotational axis. A wheel base is defined between the front and rear rotational axes and a vertically-extending centerline of the vehicle extends vertically at the midpoint of the wheel base and is perpendicular to the longitudinally-extending centerline. The vehicle also includes a fuel tank, an airbox assembly, and a battery all positioned relative to the vertically-extending centerline of the vehicle.

Two-wheeled vehicle

A continuously variable transmission ('CVT') is provided for use on a recreational or utility vehicle. The CVT is electronically controlled by a control unit of the vehicle. The CVT includes a primary clutch having a first sheave, a second sheave movable relative to the first sheave, and a friction clutch. An actuator assembly is configured to actuate the primary clutch and cause movement of the second sheave.

An engine is disclosed of the V-configuration having an integrated engine and transmission. The engine has a crankshaft which directly couples to drive the water pump, oil pump and transmission clutch. The water pump has a drive shaft coupled to the crankshaft that extends across the crankcase from a first to a second side. The water pump includes a housing where at least a portion is defined in the face of the crankshaft.

Engine

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame supported by the ground-engaging members, and a powertrain assembly. The powertrain assembly includes an engine, a shiftable transmission, a continuously variable transmission, and a charger. Additionally, the utility vehicle may include a cooling assembly fluidly coupled to at least the engine and the charger.

A skid steered light all terrain vehicle (LATV), including two driving units for the wheels or tracks on both sides of the vehicle and a differential steering device with a differential gear. The differential steering device is designed to produce a defined differential speed of the two drive units of the vehicle related to the steering angle of the steering device regardless to the surface condition where the vehicle is driving. The LATV also includes an additional steering drive acting on the differential gear.

The invention relates to a tracked ATV which is fully supported, driven and steered by a pair of parallel endless tracks driven by means of an internal combustion engine. Steering means are arranged to control the differential speed between the tracks for steering the vehicle. A handlebar is pivotally mounted to a vehicle body in front of a driver seat and the steering means are arranged to be operated by rotation of the handlebar. According to another aspect of the invention the driver seat is a straddle-type seat and footrests are arranged on the body to the left and to the right of this seat, which footrests are situated vertically in between an upper run and a ground engaging lower run of the tracks.

The reciprocating engine comprises a rocker valve gear, pistons which are fastened to a connecting rod and connected by crankshaft journals to a crankshaft, a balancer, and a camshaft which is driven by the crankshaft and in turn actuates rockers, the mentioned elements being arranged in a crankcase having a cylinder head and cylinder head cover. The cylinder head is provided with integrally cast or screwed-on receivers serving for the attachment of the hollow camshaft without requiring separately fastened bearing blocks. Correspondingly, the cylinder-head comprises further integrally cast or screwed-on receivers which serve for the attachment of the hollow rockers without requiring separately fastened bearing blocks.
