In order to adapt the damping behavior at a wider range in a process for damping torsional vibrations and in a torsional vibration damper, the length of an elastic element can be changed in dependence on a relative angle between two rotational subassemblies, with the degree of change in length being variable in dependence on the relative angle. Furthermore, a thrust piston of a coupling element, which couples the two subassemblies, can be displaced in dependence on the relative angle, relative to a first one of the two subassemblies.

A simplified torsion vibration damper having a primary plate and a secondary plate wherein the primary plate is manufactured from a primary plate which transfers a torque onto the secondary plate and the additional rim. The torque is transferred through springs to this secondary plate and additional rim which is connected via angled areas to the primary plate. A starter gear rim can be provided on the additional rim. In addition, a generating element plate with drill holes can be fitted at the primary plate and the additional mass which serves as a location-dependant motor control unit. The manufacturing process can be simplified even further through the proper arrangement of the secondary plate and the bearing sleeve.

Torsion vibration damper and process for its manufacture

A compact friction plate damper having a primary plate and a secondary plate, which interacts by means of a friction element. A speed-dependent control device is provided for the friction, wherein the friction device has a contact arrangement upon which force is to be exerted essentially radially. The friction control device comprises a spring element, which takes effect with rotational speed-dependent force on the contract arrangement in an essentially radial manner. In addition to this, the friction device interacts by friction with the secondary plate, and is mounted so as to be rotationally movable in relation to the primary plate by at least a small angle. Thus the friction control comprises a rotational speed-dependent coupling element between the primary plate and the friction device.

A torsional vibration damper includes two modules which rotate relative to each other and a spring chamber which is sealed by providing the first module with a first guide surface which seals the spring chamber radially to the outside, and is spaced from the second module by a gap, with the first guide surface having an axial surface component facing the spring chamber, and by providing a second guide surface which has an axial surface component which faces the spring chamber and covers the gap on the spring chamber side.

A disengaging device for a clutch with an energy store that releases energy upon disengagement and stores energy upon re-engagement. This device is compactly constructed and allows force to be advantageously reinforced. Mechanisms are used to increase the energy in the energy store in relation to the force arising in the disengaging device. In addition, the invention further comprises mechanisms to divert force, or a roller that is guided via a guide surface and a bevel that interacts with the energy store. Furthermore, a unit of the energy store and a drive are arranged so that they receive forces parallel to each other.

A torsional vibration damper includes two structural units rotatable relative to one another and linked to each other by a spring arrangement which includes at least one thrust piston. At certain angles of rotation between both structural units, the flow of force between the thrust piston of the spring arrangement and at least the secondary structural unit is realized via an outer surface area that engages the thrust piston, wherein the outer surface area is formed on a separate third structural unit which is resiliently mounted relative to the secondary structural unit.

A clutch with an axially-effective clutch pressure plate can be made particularly narrow if an actuating element for the clutch pressure plate features a device which is essentially radially driven. This design is for the application of an essentially axially driven force on the clutch pressure plate. Likewise, a motor vehicle clutch can be designed to be narrow if the disengagement unit of the motor vehicle clutch features a disk spring which acts on a clutch pressure plate, and a central disengagement element which is connected with the disk spring. In this case, the disk spring features an area bent in the axial direction, on which a plunger engages, capable of being actuated by the central disengagement element.

A torsional oscillation damper, in particular a friction disk damper, includes a primary part, a secondary part rotatable with respect to the primary part, an intermediate disk disposed between the primary part and the secondary part. Acting upon the intermediate disk are tangential compression springs and pre-damping springs, with the tangential compression springs disposed tangentially between the secondary part and the intermediate disk, and the pre-damping springs disposed between the primary part and the intermediate disk.

Torsional oscillation damper

A device for changing the flow rate of a liquid damping medium is a torsional vibration damper. This damper has a rotating cylindrical damper housing, connected between a drive shaft and a power takeoff shaft. Pinions are surface-mounted in a planetary fashion without axle journals between the axial faceplates of a gear pump in recesses in the pump interior. The pinions are engaged with a central gear seated on the power takeoff shaft or on drive shaft, which form gear pumps for closed circulation of the damping medium.
