The invention relates to a method of reducing vibrations, occurring during a machining operation, of a machine element () and/or of a workpiece () in a machine tool, production machine and/or in a machine () designed as a robot, wherein an additional mass () is attached to the machine element () and/or to the workpiece () in an automated manner, wherein the mass of the additional mass () is adapted to the machining operation. Furthermore, the invention relates to a machine () in this respect. The invention enables vibrations, occurring during a machining operation, of a machine element () of a machine () and/or of a workpiece () to be reduced.

The invention relates to a machine, whereby at least one machine bed () of the machine is linked to a floor (), by means of at least one support element (), said support element () being pivotally mounted in relation to the machine bed () and the floor (). The invention also relates to a support element (), for bearing a machine, whereby said support element () comprises means (), by which the support element is pivotally linked to the machine and means (), by which said element is pivotally linked to the floor (). The invention thus avoids horizontal movements of the machine bed.

The invention relates to a tool head for moving a tool () having a plurality of mobile shafts () which allow to move the tool () linearly and rotationally. The invention also relates to a combination drive () for driving a shaft by means of which the shaft () driven by the combination drive () can perform a linear and rotational movement and to the use of a combination drive () for driving a shaft () of a tool head for moving a tool, the shaft () driven by the combination drive () being capable of performing a linear and a rotational movement. The invention finally relates to a method for movement control. The invention provides a tool head that allows very high dynamics of movement of the tool.

In a method for increasing the control dynamics of a load driven by a direct drive via a driveshaft, a first transducer provides a first output signal indicating a first rotation speed, and a second transducer provides a second output signal indicating a second rotation speed. The direct drive is located between the first transducer and second transducer, with the second transducer being located in close proximity of the load. A mixed rotation speed is computed from a linear combination of the two rotation speed values, which is used as an actual control value of a controller of the direct drive. This method provides a very simple approach for increasing the control dynamics of a load driven by direct drive via a driveshaft.

A device for compensating a torque produced on a movable axle in a machine tool or production machine by a gyrostatic effect includes a rotating useful machine system attached to the movable axle and producing a useful angular momentum, and a rotating machine counter-system attached to the axle and producing a counter angular momentum. The magnitude of the counter angular momentum is substantially identical to the magnitude of the useful angular momentum. The useful torque produced by a movement of the rotating useful machine system through a temporal change of the useful angular momentum is at least partially compensated by a counter-torque produced by a temporal change of the counter angular momentum. This arrangement represents a simple device for compensating a torque produced by the gyrostatic effect on a movable axle of machine tolls and production machines.

A method for increasing the control response of a drive train of a machine tool or production machine with backlash and/or elasticity is described. A combined signal comprised of the motor speed measured on the motor and the load speed measured near the load of the drive train is supplied to a controller. The combined signal can generated in one of two ways: (1) by weighting the measured motor speed with a first multiplication factor (&#x3b1;), by weighting the measured load speed with a second multiplication factor (1&#x2212;&#x3b1;), and by subsequently adding the weighted motor speed to the weighted load speed; or (2) by first subtracting the measured load speed from the measured motor speed, then weighting the resulting difference by a multiplication factor &#x3b1;, and finally adding the load speed to the weighted difference.

Method for enhancing the control response of a drive train having backlash and/or elasticity of a machine tool or production machine

In a control system, especially a hydraulic screw-down control system for a roll stand, the controller output is acted upon by a pilot control value (v.sub.1.sup.*). At the same time, a reference value (x.sub.M ') is delivered to the controller via a subtractor as a setpoint value. The reference value (x.sub.m ') is determined in a model control loop based on the pilot controller. Parasitic response characteristics of the overall system are largely accounted for in the model control loop, so that on a time-averaged basis the controller is not activated.
