An apparatus for treating a medical fluid is provided which includes a treatment machine having a coupling surface, with a cassette made of a hard part having liquid-conducting passages which are covered by a flexible film being able to be coupled to the coupling surface of the treatment machine. A corresponding medical cassette is also provided. An air-free coupling of the flexible film of the cassette to the treatment machine is ensured in that air can be sucked out areally along a plane between the flexible film and the coupling surface during the coupling process and/or with a coupled cassette. A method for coupling the cassette and a method for checking the leaktightness of the cassette via the vacuum control of the air suction is also provided.

Device and method for treating a medical fluid and medical cassette

A dialysis machine that includes a valve member having a deformable area configured to deform outwardly away when pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member. The valve member is configured so that, when a dialysis fluid cassette is disposed in a cassette compartment of the dialysis machine and pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member, the deformable area obstructs a fluid channel of the dialysis fluid cassette to control dialysis fluid flow therethrough.

A dialysis machine that includes a valve body defining a pressure passage and a sealing cap disposed at a first end of the valve body such that the sealing cap closes off the pressure passage at the first end of the valve body. The sealing cap has a deformable area configured to deform outwardly away from the valve body when pressurized fluid is introduced into the pressure passage of the valve body. The sealing cap is configured so that, when a dialysis fluid cassette is disposed in a cassette compartment of the dialysis machine and pressurized fluid is introduced into the pressure passage of the valve body, the deformable area obstructs a fluid channel of the dialysis fluid cassette to control dialysis fluid flow therethrough.

A device for the treatment of a medical fluid including a permanently installed fluid treatment machine and a cassette with fluid-carrying channels as well as an elastic matt placed between these two items. The matt channels are recessed in the elastic matt and are provided with slits. Via the matt channels, an optimized vacuum distribution takes place and the slits serve the purpose of removing air between the cassette and the fluid treatment machine.

A device for the treatment of a medical fluid including a permanently installed fluid treatment machine and a cassette with fluid-carrying channels as well as an elastic matt placed between these two items. The matt channels are recessed in the elastic matt and are provided with slits. Via the matt channels, an optimised vacuum distribution takes place and the slits serve the purpose of removing air between the cassette and the fluid treatment machine.

A valve for the closure of fluid channels, in particular for use in disposable cartridges for extracorporeal circulations, having a valve body with a pressure channel, and a sealing cap, which can cooperate with the valve body in such a way that it closes off the end of the pressure channel on the valve body side against the surroundings. The valve is designed in such a way that a pressure chamber can be formed between the pressure channel and the sealing cap, and the sealing cap has a deformable sealing area for entry into a fluid channel in order to close the latter. The valve may be incorporated within a device for use with a disposable cartridge for at least one fluid channel.

Fluid channel valve for use with a disposable cartridge in extracorporeal circulations

The present invention relates to a pumping device for delivering and metering fluids, in particular medical fluids such as dialysis fluids, with a piston unit having a driving device and a piston and with a membrane unit which has a membrane and a first chamber bordered by the membrane. The pumping device also has a hydraulic unit which has a space to accommodate a hydraulic fluid which is connected to the piston of the piston unit and to the first chamber of the membrane unit. The reliability of metering by such a pumping device is increased by providing a control unit for guaranteeing a predefinable metering rate and/or quantity and also providing a measuring device by means of which the axial position of the piston unit can be determined directly and which can be connected to the control unit.
