A glass-fiber coupler module includes a cassette mount, a mounting panel pivotally coupled to the cassette mount, a front panel coupled to the cassette mount, and a splitter coupled to the second side of the cassette mount. A first side of the cassette mount defines a storage area configured to receive spare lengths of glass fibers. The mounting panel is configured to support a first plurality of couplings. The front panel is configured to support a second plurality of couplings. The splitter is configured to receive glass fibers routed from the second end of at least one of the couplings of the first plurality, the splitter also configured to output at least two glass fibers to the first ends of at least two of the couplings of the second plurality.

Optical fiber coupler module

The invention relates to an optical fiber plug connector, comprising at least one pair of plug connectors and a coupling, whereby each plug connector comprises a ferrule, each two ferrules of a pair of plug connectors are detachably guided and aligned together within a guide sleeve and the coupling has a housing, for each of the plug connectors. According to the invention, a compact space-saving optical fiber plug connector made from few components may be achieved, whereby the coupling is made from only one component.

The invention relates to a glass-fiber coupler module, comprising a cassette mount, which is connected to a front panel, the cassette mount being assigned a coupler, by means of which the signals of at least one incoming glass fiber are distributed over at least two outgoing glass fibers, a first group of couplings and a second group of couplings, the second group of couplings being arranged on the front panel, glass fibers from the first group of couplings being passed into the coupler and the outgoing glass fibers from the coupler being connected to the second group of couplings, the first group of couplings being arranged on a mounting panel, and the mounting panel being arranged on the cassette mount such that it can pivot.

The invention relates to a housing for fiber-optic plug-in connectors. According to the invention, said housing is configured in at least two parts, one end of a core cable can be positioned in the housing and the position of said cable can be fixed in said housing, at least one housing part is equipped with an opening and the housing part can engage over the core cable in a transversal direction by means of the opening. The invention also relates to a method for laying fiber-optic cables, which can be manufactured with plug-in connectors, whereby at least one end of a core cable is laid in a plug-in station, the end of the core cable is positioned in a housing part, the position of the core cable is fixed in the housing part by at least one second housing part and at least one housing part, which is provided with an opening, engages over the core cable in a transversal direction.

The invention relates to a glass fiber monitoring module comprising a mounting plate, couplings for receiving plugs of incoming and outgoing glass fibers and at least one coupler module being arranged on the mounting plate, couplers being arranged in the coupler module and being used to split the signals of one incoming glass fiber between at least two outgoing glass fibers at a predeterminable ratio, one outgoing glass fiber transmitting a useful signal and the other glass fiber transmitting a test signal, the glass fibers carrying the test signals being combined in the coupler module to form one multifiber cable, a splitting element being arranged at that end of the multifiber cable which is remote from the coupler module and being used to split the multifiber cable into a number of monofiber cables which corresponds to the number of fibers, plugs being arranged at the ends of said monofiber cables.
