A coupling assembly for a driveline of a motor vehicle comprises a first shaft; a second shaft; a coupling which can selectively drivingly connect or disconnect the first shaft and the second shaft; a brake for braking the second shaft relative to a stationary component; and an actuating device for actuating the coupling and the brake. The actuating device comprises a ramp mechanism having a first ring which is axially supported relative to the stationary component, and a second ring which is axially movable relative to the first ring when one of the first and second rings is rotated relative to another one of the first and second rings.

In a differential that is part of a selectively disconnectable or connectable secondary powertrain, a clutch device allows the input member of the differential, via which driving power is introduced into the differential, to be uncoupled from the output members to which the driving power is forwarded in a branched manner in order to be able to completely shut off part of the secondary powertrain in the disconnected state.

A mechanical and electric drive train of a motor vehicle having an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, includes a conventional drive train which is driven by the internal combustion engine, an electric motor drive train which is driven by an electric motor, a shift gearbox arranged in the conventional drive train, and at least one axle drive unit for driving axle drive members which are connected or are connectable via a clutch to driving wheels of at least one axle of the motor vehicle. The electric motor drive train is connected between the shift gearbox and the axle drive members to the drive train via at least one first clutch device, wherein the connection can be produced and eliminated by actuation of the first clutch device.

An equalizing unit of a drive train of a motor vehicle includes a clutch device to be oiled in driving mode. In order to stop drag torques which act on the clutch device from the outside, and result in increased dissipation when said clutch device is not required due to an operating state, measures are provided which promote the dry running of the clutch device. The measures include the spatial-functional separation of the oil delivery device from the clutch device and the provision of a braking or decoupling device by which the oil delivery device can be deactivated if there is no oil requirement.

The invention relates to a clutch assembly of a motor vehicle, in particular to a clutch-controlled differential unit, having a switchable clutch device which can transmit the drive power from a drive element which is at the drive input side in relation to the clutch device to a drive element which is at the drive output side in relation to the clutch device, wherein an oil delivery device is provided for the oil lubrication of the clutch, which oil delivery device, in an operating-state-dependent manner, delivers oil of an oil circuit which serves the clutch device. The clutch assembly is mounted in a housing which forms a clutch chamber for the clutch device. In order to permit rapid deoiling of the clutch chamber in situations in which the clutch device is opened, a deoiling device is provided which actively deoils the clutch chamber when the deoiling unit is not imparting a delivery action.

The invention relates to a clutch assembly of a motor vehicle, in particular a clutch-controlled differential unit, comprising a switchable clutch apparatus that is able to transmit driving power from a drive element on the input side with regard to the clutch device to a drive element on the output side with regard to the clutch device, wherein an oil conveying apparatus is provided for the clutch oiling, which oil conveying apparatus conveys oil of an oil circuit serving the clutch device depending on the operating state. In order to ensure that the lubrication of components arranged on the output side with regard to the clutch device is ensured in operating states in which the oil conveying apparatus does not convey any oil, an oil accumulating device is provided.

A gear assembly for a motor vehicle includes first clutch configured to selectively couple an input shaft to an output shaft and a second clutch configured to selectively couple the input shaft to a planetary gear train. When the first clutch is activated and the second clutch is not activated, the input torque is transmitted from the input shaft to the output shaft such that the output torque relative to the input torque is a first gear ratio. When the second clutch is activated and the first clutch is not activated, the input torque is transmitted from the input shaft to the output shaft through the planetary gear train such that the output torque relative to the input torque is a second gear ratio. A drive unit is connected to a multi-stage transmission which has a multiplicity of gear stages for generating different transmission ratios. Drivetrain for an all-wheel-drive vehicle, and method for controlling the same

A drive train of a vehicle is disclosed which comprises a permanently driven primary axle and a secondary axle connectable to the primary axle via a switch-on device with a switch-on mechanism, whereby the secondary drive train output via side shaft couplings is transferred to the drive wheels of the secondary axle. Because the switch-on mechanism and/or the side shaft couplings have frictionally engaged couplings, it can be that when the secondary axle is uncoupled, the shutdown section of the secondary drive train located between the switch-on device and the side shaft couplings is uncoupled both from the primary axle and from the secondary drive wheels, such that there is no more power loss in this shutdown section, whereby connecting the secondary drive train during travel is possible all the same and losses in comfort and practicability do not have to be tolerated.
