Disclosed is a system for installing withdrawable units () into switchgears. Communication via the fieldbus is based on Ethernet TCP/IP technology, the unit addresses of the withdrawable units () are automatically assigned thereto and managed by an application server () which is integrated into the Ethernet network, and at least the basic data for each withdrawable unit () is automatically downloaded from a database () into the withdrawable unit ().
