A driver for a window lifter, particularly in a motor vehicle, including at least one slider pair for guiding a leg of a guide rail section, which leg extends in the direction of the plate plane, wherein each slider is formed by at least one sheet metal tab which is bent out of the plate plane of a driver plate and covered with an injection molded material, the two sheet metal tabs of the two sliders are connected with one another by means of a sheet metal web which is bent out of the plate plane, with a bending edge shared by the two sheet metal tabs and the sheet metal web.

Drive arrangement for a window lifting mechanism

A drive mechanism for the window of a motor vehicle having a driven base member with the window affixed thereto and guided for movement along a longitudinal guide rail is activated by a driving member which is connected with the base member to drive the base member along the guide rail. A guide flange provided on the guide rail is engaged with slide elements formed on the base member which are arranged to rest against the sides of the guide rail and at least one of the slide elements is formed with a flexible construction. The slide elements include a pair of lateral slide elements arranged spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail which rest against one side of the guide flange and a central slide element arranged between the lateral slide elements which rests against the other side of the guide flange.

A window cable driving mechanism particularly for an automotive vehicle, including a base plate, a cable drum supported on one side of the base plate and a bracket extending about the cable drum attached with the base plate, is formed so that the bracket has defined thereon at least one bearing for the cable drum. Cylindrical rolling surfaces formed at axial ends of the cable drum include a cylindrical rolling surface facing away from the base plate. The bracket is constructed with at least one bearing surface which supports at least the cylindrical rolling surface facing away from the base plate.

Window cable driving mechanism

A drive mechanism for the window of a motor vehicle includes a carriage having the window affixed thereto and a carrier attached to the carriage with a drive cable having the carrier fastened in driven engagement therewith. A guide tube made of plastic material surrounds the drive cable and a support tube surrounds the guide tube. Both the support tube and the guide tube are formed with a longitudinal slot through which a portion of the carrier may extend in order to effect the driven engagement between the drive cable and the carrier.

Motor vehicle window drive mechanism

An operating mechanism for the window in a motorcar door and the like includes guiding devices, including at least one deflecting element, which engage a wire, cable or other elongated tension member and guide the tension member on the door in a loop-shaped path when the tension member is driven in the path alternatively in two opposite, longitudinal directions. The motion of the tension member is transmitted to the window. The tension member stretches under the longitudinal stresses exerted thereon by the drive and the window and needs to be tensioned. According to the invention, a spring in a permanently stressed condition biases the deflecting element in a direction to lengthen the path of the tension member and for thereby compensating for slack in the engaged portion of the tension member when the tension member moves in one longitudinal direction, whereby the spring reaches a partly relaxed condition. A protecting mechanism protects the spring against return from the partly relaxed condition toward the stressed condition when the tension member moves in the opposite direction.

Window operating mechanism

In a window lifting mechanism for a motorcar window and the like in which a carrier for the window is moved along a guide by bowden cables led from the guide to a drive mechanism in partly arcuate paths, the end sections of the bowden cable casing are connected to the guide by connectors which are unitary pieces of sheet metal including an approximately planar main portion and guide and fastening elements stamped out of the main portion and angularly offset from the same for engagement with the associated casing section.

Window lifting mechanism

The motor of an electric window or sunroof operating mechanism for a motorcar has a rotor axially movable on a normally fixed base against the restraint of compression springs. A nut on the tubular motor shaft threadedly engages a cable partly received in the shaft. The cable is longitudinally guided on the base and secured against rotation so that it moves longitudinally to open or close the associated window or sunroof when the motor is energized. When the window or sunroof reaches one of its terminal positions, longitudinal movement of the cable is suddenly brought to a halt, and the motor is deenergized. The shock that would be caused by continued inertial motor rotation at arrested cable is absorbed by the compression springs, thereby significantly increasing the useful life of the mechanism.
