An implantable sensor can be used for determining a concentration of at least one analyte in a medium, particularly in a body tissue and/or a body fluid. The implantable sensor can comprise a flexible, tubular sensor element. This sensor element has a tubular body on which at least two electrode rings are mounted for electrochemical determination of the concentration of the analyte.

Also disclosed is a method for preparing a puncturing system for generating a puncture wound.

The collecting area is formed by a collection recess of the lancing member which extends in the lancing direction and the light guide is integrated into the lancing member such that it is secure against displacement and the distal end thereof is arranged in a proximal measurement zone of the collection recess.

The invention concerns a control device for a medical test system which has a lancing element that can be inserted into body tissue to collect body fluid and a lancing drive for the lancing element. In order to improve the success rate, the control unit actuates the lancing drive for an automatic puncture repetition in less than 1 second when a fault, e.g., inadequate wetting of a detection field, occurs.

A capillary structure extends from the tip to the test panel and has a fluid connection to the tip. A lancing device for generating a puncture wound in a body part to obtain a body fluid sample for analytical or diagnostic purposes, in particular, by using integrated disposables that comprise a lancing element as well as an associated test element is disclosed. In order to achieve a high success rate in obtaining the body fluid sample, a drive can be designed such that the lancing element or the test element can be moved into a contact position while remaining in a position near the body part contact opening during a deployment period. If the amount of sample obtained in a lancing movement is inadequate to carry out the analysis or diagnosis, the lancing element can be brought into contact with the sample by a user by manual positioning the lancing device to manually take up a sample obtained by manually milking the sampling site in the region of the puncture wound.
