A dental restoration model including a positive model () of a dental restoration piece. The positive model () defines at least the outer contour () of a dental restoration piece to be made using lost wax technology and is provided with a locating pin region which is defined especially according to a given optimization process. The locating pin region is provided with a guiding element () which accommodates and/or guides a material feeder (and).

Dental restoration model

The invention proposes a muffle with a pressing channel and at least one mold cavity that is coupled to the pressing channel via at least one connection channel. In this case, in order to increase the pressing pressure and to improve the intermixing of the blank material, it is proposed to arrange at least two blanks () side by side in the pressing channel ().

Muffle and method of using

A dental restoration is provided which includes a base structure and a pre-fabricated over structure which at least partially covers the base structure. An interconnecting material interconnects hardened bite elements of the over structure with the base structure. In accordance with the method of producing a dental restoration, the interconnecting material applied onto the base structure is hardened fully after the over structure has first been applied onto the still malleable interconnecting material.

Dental restoration and a method for producing a dental restoration

A connecting apparatus for connecting an item, especially a dental prosthetic device, with an anchor tooth or a crown in the mouth of a dental patient. The connecting apparatus includes a first interconnecting element () for connecting the dental prosthetic device with the selected one of the anchor tooth and the crown in the mouth of a dental patient and a second interconnecting element (). The first interconnecting element () includes a positive coupling piece () formed of ceramic. The second connecting element is a negative coupling piece () comprised of glass fiber reinforced synthetic material, at least in a wear region thereof which lies against the first interconnecting element. The positive and negative coupling pieces are securable to one another in a mated shape closure manner.

A press oven, especially for the pressing of dental material, includes a press stamp via which pressure can be exerted on a blank in a matrix mass of a muffle. An intermediate body is positionable between the press stamp and the blank and the heat conducting capability of the intermediate body () is less than that of the blank (), the press stamp () or the matrix mass of the muffle ().

A method of controlling an oven for producing tooth replacement components. An electric motor moves a piston that acts upon a moldable restoration material. The restoration material is introduced into a muffle oven having an oven hood that can be removed from the muffle. The compactibility curve is established as a function of the type of dental material utilized. Immediately after conclusion of the mold time, the motor is turned off and the oven hood is removed.

Method of controlling an oven

A support plate assembly (10) for teeth which includes a plate-like body (12) with external dimensions that may be strung together, and a substantially flat, quadrilateral wax receiving portion (22) for the acceptance of an adhesive wax or the equivalent into which a plurality of teeth may be pressed, one next to the other. The wax receiving portion (22) is delimited by convex, forward-thrusting arched upper and lower ridges (14, 16), and lateral ridges. A flat strip of wax is held in the wax receiving portion such that the wax receiving portion has a greater depth at the center area intended for premolar than at the lateral areas intended for molars.

Support plate for teeth

In the case of a denture made of pre-fabricated teeth, that exhibits molars and pre-molars for each jaw, upper and lower, at least on the upper molars at the lingual position, an incising ridge (24) is provided. The incising ridge is intended, in the occlusion position, to engage the masticatory surface (18) of the antagonist of the lower jaw (14) in each case. The masticatory surface (18) exhibits a sulcus (45) with at least some areas of convex arcuate projection (20, 22) by means of which the antagonist (14) may be centered in tripodized incuspidation on the incising ridge (24).
