The invention relates to a method for the production of a precursor for the production of carbon- and activated carbon fibers according to the wet- or air-gap spinning method, in which a solution of lignin and a fiber-forming polymer in a suitable solvent is extruded through the holes of a spinning nozzle into a coagulation bath, the formed thread is stretched and subsequently treated, dried at an elevated temperature and then wound up. The lignin-containing thread is an economical starting material for the production of carbon- and activated carbon fibers.

Method of producing cellulose carbamate blown film and use of the same

A process for manufacturing free-flowing pellets based on cellulosic spun fibers. The process includes a) wetting at least one cellulosic spun-fiber strand with a preferably aqueous dispersion of a polymer and/or an oligomer for the purpose of applying sizing, b) drying the at least one spun-fiber strand, and c) comminuting the at least one spun-fiber strand into pellets. The present invention relates to a cellulose carbamate spinning solution, the cellulose carbamate being dissolved in an ionic liquid. The invention relates furthermore to a method for the production of nonwovens in which the cellulose carbamate spinning solution is pressed through the holes of a nozzle bar and stretched by a multiple by means of an air flow. The formed fiber curtain is laid on a perforated conveyer belt, washed and dried. Likewise, the invention relates to nonwovens of this type and also the use thereof.

Apparatus for the production of extruded blown cellulose film from a solution of cellulose, water and an amine-oxide, which includes:&#x2014;extrusion apparatus for continuously extruding a cellulose solution to produce a cellulose film;&#x2014;solidifying apparatus for solidifying the extruded cellulose film;&#x2014;drawing apparatus positioned downstream of the extrusion apparatus for continuously drawing the extruded cellulose film from the extrusion apparatus; and a tubular member for containing precipitation apparatus and for receiving an extruded blown film wherein the tubular member is situated within a precipitation bath.
