A computer-implemented method for determining a subset of coil elements for capturing a magnetic resonance tomography recording, comprises: providing a target volume in a scout view, and determining a plurality of subsets of coil elements from among the plurality of coil elements, wherein individual subsets are configured different from one another. The method further comprises: determining at least one quality criterion for each subset of coil elements, wherein the at least one quality criterion of a corresponding subset of coil elements relates to an image quality in the target volume, dependent upon the corresponding subset of coil elements; determining the subset of coil elements from the plurality of subsets, based on the corresponding at least one quality criterion; and providing an information item regarding which of the plurality of coil elements are included by the subset of coil elements.

In a method and system for the generation of measurement data required k-space is read out in the readout direction in k-space rows such that at least a first k-space row of the k-space rows does not cover the k-space to be read out in the readout direction in full and at least a second k-space row of the k-space rows covers the k-space to be read out in locations in the readout direction at which the first k-space row does not cover the k-space to be read out. Measurement data that is missing in the k-space is completed in this way on the basis of recorded echo signals stored as measurement data.

Saturation-prepared recording of MR image data

High-quality magnetic resonance (MR) recordings are triggered with movements of an object, for example the heartbeat. In a method and apparatus for obtaining raw data reconstruction for an MR image, a spin-echo-based sequence is executed that includes applying a static magnetic field and applying a magnetization pulse train. A movement of the object to be imaged is detected and a target contrast for two tissue types of the object is prespecified. The repetition time of the pulse train is set in dependence on the movement of the object to be imaged, and the flip angle is set such that prespecified target contrast for the two tissue types is obtained at the set repetition time.

Method and apparatus for triggering magnetic resonance recordings with object movements

In order to optimize magnetic resonance (MR) images in spin echo-based imaging, MR raw data are acquired by applying a static magnetic field, an excitation pulse, a refocusing pulse, and an RF pulse at the same time point as an echo elicited by the pulses with the result that the magnetization in the negative z-direction is deflected by a flip angle. The flip angle is selected such that, given a specified repetition time of the excitation pulse, a predetermined contrast is provided for two specified tissue types of the subject to be imaged. An MR image is reconstructed from the acquired MR raw data.

Magnetic resonance apparatus and method for obtaining measurement signals in spin echo-based imaging

A magnetic resonance (MR) tomography apparatus has an array composed of a number n of single coils Eto acquire reception signals I. The tomography apparatus is operated by a method that includes the following steps. For each single coil E, a processor determines, or is provided with, an individual reception sensitivity profile in positional space r B1(r). An examination subject introduced into the MR tomography apparatus is scanned to acquire reception signals I(k) in the frequency domain with the n reception coils E. Fourier-transformed signals IF(r) are determined from the reception signals I(k). Complexly corrected signals &#x128;F(r) are determined on the basis of the signals IF(r) and the individual reception sensitivity profiles B1(r). A sum signal MR(r) is determined by complex addition of the corrected signals &#x128;F(r). Image data of the examination subject are reconstructed on the basis of the sum signal MR(r).

A magnetic resonance RF field is produced in a magnetic resonance imaging system that includes a main magnetic field apparatus and an object-bearing table movable relative to the main magnetic field apparatus and on which a local coil system is arranged. A method for operating a transmission device of a magnetic resonance device is provided. In order to actuate coil elements of a radiofrequency coil with different phases, phase differences in a reference plane are taken into consideration. In a first calibration measurement to be performed once for each transmission path, a first phase of a transmitted radiofrequency signal is measured by an internal measuring device installed permanently in the transmission device spaced apart from the reference plane. A second phase of the transmitted radiofrequency signal is measured by a second, external measuring device to be connected to the reference plane for the first calibration measurement. At least one phase of the first phase and the second phase is taken into consideration in the phase-accurate actuating of the coil elements and/or for correcting further measurements with the internal measuring device.

In a method to determine a B1 phase map for at least two excitation modes of a radio-frequency coil arrangement of a magnetic resonance apparatus, the radio-frequency coil arrangement having multiple independently controllable transmission channels, and the B1 phase map describing, with spatial resolution, the phase of radio-frequency field this is generated in a respective excitation mode relative to a common reference phase map, first magnetic resonance data describing the phase change of a basic magnetic field of the magnetic resonance apparatus between a first echo time and a second echo time are acquired, and are evaluated to determine a spatially resolved Larmor frequency value that describes the deviation from a nominal Larmor frequency of the magnetic resonance apparatus. To correct raw phase maps derived from second magnetic resonance data acquired using a respective one of the excitation modes, a correction map, determined relative to the reference phase map, is calculated and subtracted from the raw phase map under consideration of the Larmor frequency value and the echo times in the acquisition of the second magnetic resonance data.

Method and magnetic resonance apparatus to determine a B1 phase map

In a method and magnetic resonance apparatus to determine a B0 field map describing the local deviation from a nominal Larmor frequency of the magnetic resonance apparatus, magnetic resonance data are acquired at at least two different dephasing times after an excitation, in measurements implemented at two different echo times whose difference forms a dephasing time, and a phase change used to determine the B0 field map is determined from a difference of phases measured at different echo times. The phase changes of different dephasing times are evaluated to at least partially reduce an ambiguity due to Nyquist phase wrapping. The measurements for different dephasing times are implemented at least in part with excitations that generate different excitation fields.

Method and magnetic resonance apparatus to determine a B0 field map

Methods are provided for measurement of RF excitation pulses by a magnetic resonance device. The methods include the following acts: (1) sending of an RF excitation pulse by a radio-frequency system of the magnetic resonance device, (2) triggering of a receive event for capturing the RF excitation pulse by the control device of the magnetic resonance device, and (3) capturing of the sent RF excitation pulse in the form of excitation data by the radio frequency system. The excitation data may be used for checking process execution sequences.
