A hand-held gun having a grip part and a breech part movably supported in a longitudinal direction thereon is disclosed. A breech spring arrangement urges breech part in its initial position relative to grip part. For this purpose, breech spring arrangement is supported between the breech part and grip part. Starting from the initial position, breech part can move against the closing force of breech spring arrangement into an abutment position in which it abuts against a buffer body. Starting from the abutment position, breech part can be moved under elastic compression of buffer body in the longitudinal direction into a retracted position. In the movement area between the abutment position and the retracted position, a compression force is applied by the compressed buffer body in addition to the closing force of the breech spring arrangement between the grip part and the breech part.

Disassembly devices for use with firearms and firearms including such disassembly devices are disclosed. An example firearm includes a frame; a breech slide to be coupled to the frame; a barrel; a trigger bar disposed within the frame; and an arm to be pivotable about an axis between a locked position and a unlocked position, the arm being movable to the unlocked position from the locked position based on a magazine engaging an end of the arm, the arm being movable to the locked position from the unlocked position based on the magazine being spaced from the end of the arm or the magazine not being fully received within the firearm, in the locked position, the arm to interact with the trigger bar to secure the trigger bar, in the unlocked position, the lug to be spaced from the trigger bar to enable the trigger bar to move.

Safety devices for use with a handheld firearm are disclosed. The safety devices include a lever that can be pivoted into the travel path of the hammer of the firearm to preclude the hammer from striking a firing pin. In an example, the lever is connected to the trigger such that the safety device is released when the trigger is pulled. In another example, the lever protrudes into the magazine shaft of the firearm such that the safety device is only released when a magazine is inserted into the shaft.

Pistol

An unlocked self-loading pistol and a conversion kit for modifying a locked self-loading pistol adapted for firing normal and powerful cartridges into an unlocked self-loading pistol capable of firing weak cartridges as well as normal and powerful cartridges is disclosed. The unlocked self-loading pistol includes a return spring which is closely surrounded on the outside by a sleeve composed of an elastomer material. The length of the elastomer sleeve corresponds approximately to the length of the compressed return spring. The sleeve absorbs a part of the movement energy of the breech and passes it on into the grip. The conversion kit can be used to convert a locked self-loading pistol into an unlocked self-loading pistol as stated above and vice versa. The disclosed conversion kit includes: an alternate barrel which does not come into locked engagement with the breech, the abovementioned elastomer sleeve, and, optionally, a substitute return spring. The locked self-loading pistol and the conversion kit together form a weapon system which can be used to assemble a locked self-loading pistol or an unlocked self-loading pistol, as desired. The unlocked self-loading pistol can fire very lightly filled ammunition and normally filled ammunition without malfunction, and additionally ensures that the breech will withstand the firing of heavily filled ammunition.

Self-loading pistol conversion kit for a locked self-loading pistol and a weapon system composed of an optionally locked or unlocked self-loading pistol

An automatic pistol, with at least a barrel (1) and a slide (2) that move relative to the rest of the firearm and to each other, whereby the barrel extends through an alignment channel (3) in the slide. The weapon included means (4) of centering the barrel around at least one axis through the slide such that the barrel will not jam. The means are elastic and resilient and rest lightly against the inner surface of the channel before the weapon is discharged.
