An adhesive wafer for an ostomy faceplate or wound dressing comprising a backing layer, said backing layer having one surface facing the skin, said surface comprising a first and a second adhesive zone being separated from each others by a void volume, said void volume being defined by the backing layer, the first and the second adhesive zones and the skin surface and wherein the first and the second adhesive zones are capable of moving independently of each others with respect to the lateral plane of the backing layer.

An ostomy bag with a filter assembly having a gas filter and a pre-filter for preventing or delaying solid/semisolid matter and liquid from reaching the gas filter. The pre-filter is at least substantially flat and comprises a number of constrictions, such as ribs extending along and between two inner surface parts of the channel. These constrictions/ribs form narrower and wider passages where the gas may more quickly pass a narrow passage and where the wider passages tend to receive and hold the liquid, solid matter and semisolid matter. The constrictions may be provided as a single, monolithic element, such as an extruded element.

An ostomy collecting system has a collecting bag having an inlet opening in a bag wall and surrounding connecting elements for connection with a stoma, and a carrier device for the collecting bag. Which is a base plate and a substantially annular first flange connected to the base plate via a first connecting section. The connecting elements comprise a substantially annular second flange, fixedly connected to the collecting bag via a substantially annular second connecting section. The two flanges are connected with the base plate and the collecting bag, respectively, in such a manner that the outer radius of said second connecting section exceeds the outer radius of said first connecting section by a value which at least equals the total thickness of the two flanges. The collecting bag, carrier device connections is provided by adhesive on said second flange capable of repeated adhesion with the first flange, and the two flanges are made from a flexible and resilient material and can be as discs of cellular plastic material.

An ostomy coupling including two annular coupling parts and a locking ring. Each coupling part is attached to one of an adhesive disc, or a collection receptacle or a closing plug. The first coupling part has a collar with a radially outwardly projecting annular edge. The edge forms a groove with an in the radial direction innermost groove section. An annular recess is positioned in the radial direction inner side of the collar. The second coupling part has an axially projecting part with an annular radially outwardly projecting beak capable of engaging the annular recess in the first coupling part. The locking ring has an annular protrusion that projects inwardly in the radial direction. The locking ring is positioned in the groove of the first coupling part, so that its innermost diameter when it is in its locked position, is smaller than the largest beak diameter of the second coupling ring, and the annular recess of the first coupling part is closer to the attachment surface of this coupling part to the collection receptacle, the closing plug or the adhesive disc than the annular innermost groove section.
