The invention relates to a filter element for filtering a fluid passing through the filter element with a group of first channels, in which each first channel extends from a first end to a second end and each first channel has on its first end an inlet opening through which the fluid to be filtered can flow into the respective first channel and is closed at its second end, and a group of second channels, in which each second channel extends from a first end to a second end and each second channel has at its second end an outlet opening through which the filtered fluid can flow out of the respective second channel and is closed at its first end, wherein at least one first channel is arranged adjacent to a second channel and the first channel is separated from the second channel by a partition wall, wherein the partition wall is formed of a filter medium through which the fluid to be filtered can flow from the first channel into the second channel, wherein the filter medium is a coalescence filter medium.

A filter, in particular for compressed gas systems, includes a filter top part having at least one inlet channel and at least one outlet channel and a filter bottom part having a filter element, wherein the filter top part has a pressure-resistant housing and an insert which is suited in an optimal manner to the course of the inlet and outlet channels.

Filter with exchangeable insert

In a filter, a rotatable connection flange with two kidney-shaped openings and a diametral web between the openings is located between the top part and bottom part of the filter. Rotating the connection flange allows the direction in which a gas flows through the filter element located in the filter housing to be reversed. In this way, the filter can be operated as a coalescence filter or as a dust filter by simply rotating the connection flange.

A device for continuously fractionating a gas by adsorption, an in-service testing device in a processor-controlled adsorption drier system and a method for testing the operating capability of an adsorption drier system under the control of a processor, including two adsorbent beds connected to one another in a switching system, in which regeneration is performed by a flow of regeneration gas. The device has a gas inlet, a gas outlet and a bypass outlet feeding into a common functional block, which contains a line switching circuit, a first and a second shuttle valve and, optionally, other components. The in-service testing device and the device are so compact due to their respective structures that they can be integrated with one another requiring little space and having low assembly requirements. The testing method is configured to co-operate with the in-service testing device and the device, requiring only a few components for the application thereof. Furthermore, since it needs only a few components, the method has very few requirements in terms of manufacture and space.

Device and method for continuously fractionating a gas by adsorption and in-service testing device

An advantageous configuration of an adsorption medium in a drying plant is described. At least one cartridge containing the adsorption medium for a gas to be dried is removably disposed in a container of the drying plant. A pressure prevails between the adsorption medium and the cartridge such that the adsorption medium remains stationary in the cartridge, in particular even under changing operating and/or environmental conditions. Using the cartridge enables the adsorption medium to be changed rapidly and safely on site. In addition, the invention ensures a high quality of gas drying, in particular without the added risk of the particles being released. Different cartridges can also be used for different adsorption media and can therefore be optimized to suit the most varied of drying plants.
