A link chain for chain conveyors for use in mining, with vertical chain links having a constant cross-sectional profile provided on the inside with a circular arc and on the outside preferably with a flat section, and with horizontal chain links having front sections, longitudinal limbs and an oval inner opening. The longitudinal limbs on the outer sides comprising at least adjacent to the upper and lower sides a spherical shaped surface and/or the horizontal chain links comprising on the transition of the front sections into the longitudinal limbs corner areas, wherein the longitudinal limbs on their top side and bottom side at least in the corner areas are partially provided with a cavity.

A link chain or a chain link for scraper chain conveyors with vertical and horizontal chain links which are interlinked in an articulated manner for scraper chain conveyors for use in mining. In particular to horizontal chain links with front sections with a straight face zone and with longitudinal limbs, which connect the front sections around an oval inner opening and which are provided on their outer surfaces with a recess, wherein the rear sides of front sections delimiting the inner opening form a contact zone for circular arcs of vertical chain links. In order to improve the service life of the link chain, the rear sides, which face oval inner opening, of front sections are provided with a surface which has a hollow, which forms a central region of the contact zone, between a fillet cambered in a crowned manner.

The invention relates to a link chain for scraper chain conveyors with vertical chain links which are interlinked in an articulated manner and horizontal chain links, wherein vertical chain links have around the full circumference a constant cross-sectional profile provided on the outside with a flat section and on the inside with a circular arc and horizontal chain links have front sections which have a straight front zone, wherein longitudinal limbs, which connect front sections, of horizontal chain links are provided on their outer faces with a recess. In order to improve the running characteristics of link chain in the event of low surface pressures between chain wheel and horizontal chain links, horizontal chain links have, on both sides in recesses, entrainment means for positive-locking entrainment of scrapers which can be connected to horizontal chain links and/or cross-sectional profile of the vertical chain links is in each case provided with a bevel at the transition of the flat section into the circular arc. The invention also relates to a chain wheel which is suitable for this chain.

The invention relates to scrapers for link chains of in particular double center scraper chain conveyors, comprising a one-part scraper body with a head web connecting two lateral scraper wings and at least one insertion pocket for insertion of a horizontal chain link of the link chain and securing scraper by means of a detachable scraper-securing element. In order to improve the entrainment of scrapers connected to the horizontal chain links and to be able to use the scrapers even with novel link chains, grooves extend in insides of scraper wings and outsides of an intermediate web over the height of limb beds up to head web and form receivers for entrainment projections on the outer surfaces of limbs of horizontal chain links. An entry conveyor including a conveyor pan formed by a plurality of pan sections that are hingeably connected to each other, at the two ends of which conveyor pan drive stations and/or return stations for a scraper chain are provided. Each pan section includes a top strand delimited by lateral profiles and the conveyor base and a bottom strand for the scraper chain as well as receiving elements for a pan section connecting mechanism, which elements are disposed outside of the lateral profiles. The invention relates to a scraper chain for scraper chain conveyors, particularly for use in mining, with vertical chain links flattened in their longitudinal legs, which are integrally joined by nose-parts of circular cross-section, while the horizontal chain links have a constant circular cross-section all round. The scraper chain has a strength which is at least equal to that of a size 48 standard round link chain. The horizontal links serving as scraper connection have a pitch which is at least 10%, and preferably about 15%, greater than the pitch of the vertical links. The outer width of the horizontal links is at least 30% greater than the outer width of the vertical links. For the scraper chain according to the invention, sprockets whose dimensions are the same as those for scraper chains of considerably lower strength may be used.

A chain drum arrangement for a scraper-chain conveyor has a chain drum, which is connected at its end regions to two mutually aligned chain drum shafts mounted rotatably in a machine frame and, when uncoupled, can be removed from its fitted position transversely to its longitudinal axis from the machine frame. The chain drum shafts have terminal shaft journals projecting inwardly from side wall sections of the machine frame whereas the chain drum is provided, at its end regions, with substantially radially extending pockets with which it can be plugged onto the shaft journals and locked non-rotatably thereto The shaft journals are peripherally flattened to engage positively in the pockets and have external regions which act as locking claws fitting into undercut regions of the pockets when the drum is partly rotated around the journals. Closure members with screwed-on releasable locking plates serve to lock the drum on the journals.

Chain drum arrangement

A guide arrangement for a drum-type cutting machine is composed of a guide block cooperating with a guide rail and articulated at the lower end of a vertical guide arm of the cutting machine. The guide block has a pocket defined by lateral walls which receives the guide arm. A transverse bolt extends through the pocket in the guide block and is received snugly by a bore in the guide arm. One of the end regions of the bolt forms a pivot journal head with curved surfaces which is received in a pivot journal socket in one of the lateral walls of the pocket in the guide block. The other end of the transverse bolt fits with lateral play in a horizontal guide of the other lateral wall of the guide block. The inner surfaces of the lateral walls incline relative to a horizontal plane to permit the guide arm to cant about a vertical axis.

Guide arrangement for a drum-type mineral cutting machine

In the driving and guide arrangement according to the invention, the drive chain in a chain channel bounded by a guide rail and a rear wall is supported only on series of spaced, narrow support elements at least some of which may form connecting plates welded between the rear wall and the guide rail. As the narrow support elements are spaced apart from one another, fines getting into the chain channel from above readily drop between them, and emerge freely through face side and gob-side discharge openings in the chain channel. Caking of fines in the chain channel is largely prevented in the arrangements, which are fabricated as welded constructions and are therefore particularly economical to produce.

The scraper chain belt according to the invention is preferably intended for scraper chain conveyors of long conveying lengths and correspondingly high drive outputs, and consists of vertical and horizontal chain links (1, 2) which are suspended articulated within one another, wherein the vertical chain links (1) advantageously have a surrounding out-of-round cross-section which is provided with a flat (6) on its external contour, whilst the horizontal chain links (2), which serve for the scraper connection, are formed in the manner of webbed chain links having a central web (12) which passes transversely through their internal opening. The scraper connection is preferably effected with the aid of studs (19) which are fixedly disposed on the scrapers (13) and which point towards the scraper base, and which pass through the insertion openings (20) in the central webs (12) of the horizontal chain links (2), wherein the scraper connection can be secured with the aid of locking elements.

Scraper chain belt for scraper chain conveyors

The invention relates to a scraper-chain assembly for scraper-chain conveyors, in particular central or double central scraper-chain conveyors, having a scraper connection to horizontal chain links of the single-strand or two-strand chain assembly. Vertical chain links hooked into the horizontal chain links are provided with longitudinal limbs which have a non-round cross-section, and whose thickness dimension is smaller than that of nose parts of these chain links that connect the longitudinal limbs. For the scraper connection, the scrapers have coupling and locking pins, which extend through internal openings of the horizontal chain links, between the hooked-in vertical chain links and which protrude from the internal openings to form locking pieces which serve to secure the scrapers. In this case, the width of the locking pieces is designed to match the configuration of the horizontal and vertical chain links in such a way that the coupling and locking pins of the scrapers can be pushed freely into the internal openings of the horizontal chain links, when the vertical chain links hooked into these internal openings are pivoted out of the chain axis into a vertical position. By pivoting the vertical chain links back into the normal position, positive locking of the scrapers to the horizontal chain links automatically results.
