The transport device (10, 10a) for web-shaped recording substrates (3, 3a, 3b) includes transport devices (13, 13a, 15, 15a, 15b) driven by an electromotor, wherein the transport devices (13, 13a, 15, 15a, 15b) transport back and forth and asynchronously the recording substrate (3, 3a, 3b) from a starting position (IP, IP1, SP, SP1) to a target position (PP, PP1, TP, TP1). A gear coupling (16, 16a, 16b) is in addition coordinated to the transport devices (13, 13a, 15, 15a, 15b), wherein the gear coupling (16, 16a, 16b) controls automatically the tension of the recording substrate (3, 3a, 3b) tensioned between the transport devices (13, 13a, 15, 15a, 15b). In addition, the transport device (15, 15a, 15b) can be disengaged from the electromotor drive (11, 11a) by actuating an operating lever (19, 19a), wherein the operating lever (19, 19a) engages the gear coupling (16, 16a, 16b), when sheet-shaped recording substrates (2, 2a, 2b) are to be transported in addition to the web-shaped recording substrates (3, 3a, 3b) in the printing device (1, 1a).

The invention relates to a mechanism for rinsing the nozzles and the ink channels in the print head of an ink printer. A hose pump is composed of a revolute member which is driven by a drive element for the purpose of rinsing; for that purpose, the shaft of the drive element engages via a plug-in coupling and drives the revolute member; at least one puck is rotatably seated in the surface region of the revolute member; as the result of the puck, ink is pumped into the ink channels and nozzles of the print head at every revolution in a clock-wise direction; the drive can ensue motor-driven or manually.

A connecting device for releasably securing an axle on a support plate comprising a bushing member rotatably receiving the axle, said bushing member being disposed in an aperture of a support plate, which aperture has an opening to the edge to form a narrow throat which has a dimension less than the diameter of the aperture. The bushing member has a cylindrical body with portions removed to form at least one flat surface and a retaining lever connected to the switching body in a relationship so that with the lever in a first position the body can be inserted through the narrow portion of the throat into the aperture and then rotate it to a second position locking the bushing member in the aperture.

An arrangement for the drive of a printer carriage in teletypewriters or data printers in which pliable drawing means secured to the printer carriage is simultaneously driven by two drive motors. The drive motors are of identical design and cooperate with drive guide rollers arranged exteriorly of the printing area. Stepping motors preferably are employed as the drive motors and arranged with a displacement by half a step and can be alternately driven, so that one of the two stepping motors always functions in optimum torque range.
