Regulating a power ramp rate of a wind park at a point of common coupling (PCC) between the wind park and a utility grid. The method comprises receiving a power reference for the wind park; determining the power ramp rate of the wind park as a function of the power output of each individual wind turbine in the park, wherein the power ramp rate of the wind park is based on the power ramp rates of the individual wind turbines and determining a corresponding plurality of power set-points for each wind turbine based on the power ramp rates and power reference. The corresponding plurality of power set-points is dispatched to the plurality of wind turbines for regulating the power ramp rate of the wind park in dependency of the power ramp rates of the plurality of wind turbines.

Power ramp rate control

A wind power plant system comprising: a plurality of wind turbine generators each having a corresponding generator controller, and a power plant controller for controlling the power generated by the wind power plant system; wherein at least some of the plurality of generator controllers are each configured to: generate a model that indicates the thermal capacity of one or more components of the wind turbine generator, determine power capacity data from the model, said data relating to: at least one reactive power supply level and a corresponding time limit for which that reactive power supply level may be maintained, and transmit to the power plant controller the determined power capacity data, wherein the power plant controller is operable to receive the power capacity data from the plurality of generator controllers and to transmit respective power references to the plurality of generator controllers to control the power generated by the wind power plant system.

Relating to reactive power support in wind power plants

The present invention relates to a wind turbine comprising a nacelle, the nacelle having a substantially longitudinal extension, a height extension and a width extension, comprising a front end, a rear end, a bottom part, a top part and side parts, and being adapted to house a number of wind turbine components, which wind turbine components are supported by an internal support structure, the support structure comprising at least a main foundation which is positioned at the front end of the nacelle, and a rear frame which is connected to the main foundation at one end and extends from the main foundation towards the rear end of the nacelle. The main foundation comprises at least one foundation connection area, the foundation connection area being positioned where the rear frame is connected to the main foundation, the foundation connection area comprising at least a first face and a second face, the second face being displaced in a longitudinal direction, a height direction and/or a width direction of the nacelle in relation to a position of the first face on the main foundation, and the rear frame being connected to the main foundation via connections at least via the first face and the second face, respectively, of the foundation connection area.
