An elevator damping unit, for reducing vertical oscillation of an elevator car during a standstill period, has brake shoe retainers provided with brake shoes. The brake shoe retainers are connected to an electric motor via a toothed gear mechanism. The damping unit also includes a spring device configured as a metallic bending spring and arranged between the car and a carrier structure for the brake shoe retainers.

An elevator damping unit for reducing vertical oscillations of an elevator car when at a standstill, has brake shoe retainers provided with brake shoes. The brake shoe retainers are connected to a common electric motor via a toothed gear mechanism. The toothed gear mechanism has a central driving gearwheel, which adjoins a drive shaft of the motor, and eccentric gearwheels, which are each assigned to one of the brake shoes and are in operative connection with the driving gearwheel. The brake shoes are supported resiliently on the respective brake shoe retainers in each case via two helical compression springs.

An elevator shaft door sill installation apparatus includes first and second assembly jig parts mounted at gage guide rails and a laser arranged at one of the parts for aligning the sill in the vertical direction. The alignment of the sill in the horizontal direction is undertaken with a line set including at least two lines, a first line having a first run extending from the first part to a first sill corner and from there by a second run to the second part, and a second line extending from the second part to a second sill corner. If the lines are tightened and a marking between the first and second runs is at the first corner of the sill, the sill is aligned in the horizontal direction.

A sliding guide shoe for an elevator for conveying persons or goods includes a guide shoe housing and a two-part insert, which insert is inserted in the guide shoe housing for guiding an elevator car along a guide rail extending in a longitudinal direction. The insert includes a slide element connected with a support element and removable laterally from the sliding guide shoe in the longitudinal direction. The slide element is insertable into or removable from the support element only from one longitudinal side.

An elevator installation includes a sensor by which vibrations generated during operation of the elevator installation are detectable and an evaluating circuit, which is connected with the sensor and by which the vibrations detected by the sensor can be evaluated. The detected vibrations can be compared by means of the evaluating circuit with a predeterminable operating value and a predeterminable threshold value.

Fault diagnosis of an elevator installation

An elevator has a first and a second cage, which are movable along a common travel path. In addition, the elevator includes a safety device, by which the two cages can be monitored, and a shaft information system, which is connected with the safety device and by which the speed and the position of the two cages can be determined. If the two cages fall below a safety spacing, a first braking measure can be initiated for at least a first cage by means of the safety device. A retardation plot for the at least first cage is predeterminable by the safety device on initiation of the first braking measure. In that case, a second braking measure can be initiated for the at least first cage by means of the safety device if the retardation plot is exceeded.

A shaft access enabling device of an elevator system has a shaft access control unit and at least one access monitoring unit, wherein the shaft access control unit controls an operating state of the at least one access monitoring unit and the access monitoring unit monitors at least one shaft access. The shaft access control unit has at least two different operating modes for controlling the operating state of the at least one access monitoring unit and inspects access authorization before changing between the at least two operating modes thereof.

A device can actuate and reset a safety gear in an elevator system. The device contains a pressure accumulator, possibly a compression spring, which, in case of need, can move at least two engagement elements of the safety gear essentially synchronously into an engaged position, and a remotely actuatable resetting device, which can retension the pressure accumulator into a ready position.

A contacting device for electrically contacting tensile carriers of a suspension in an elevator system includes a housing having a recess in which an exposed segment of the suspension can be received so that the housing at least partially encloses the exposed segment of the suspension. Raised areas and recesses are alternatingly disposed on an inner side of the housing, wherein a raised area and a recess face each other in a state of use. At least one contact element is disposed in a recess of the housing, wherein the at least one raised area can be pressed against a tensile carrier of the suspension, such that the tensile carrier is brought into electrical contact with the contact element.

An elevator has a car movable within a hoistway, a rack extending along the hoistway, the rack having a toothed profile with wave troughs and wave crests and a drive mounted in proximity to the rack so that the drive interacts with the rack to move the car. The drive includes a roller pinion unit fixedly mounted on a shaft and having a predetermined number of roller pinions arranged in a circle around the shaft and extending parallel to the shaft. The roller pinion unit interacts with the toothed profile of the rack. The drive also includes a motor unit configured to rotate the shaft. Optionally, the drive includes a brake unit configured to act on the shaft.

A sill is aligned in the vertical direction on a laser line. The alignment of the sill in the horizontal direction is undertaken with a line set of an assembly jig. The line set includes at least two lines, for example a first line and a second line. The first line runs by a first run from the first part of the assembly jig to a third marking of the first line and from there by a second run to the second part of the assembly jig. If the lines are tightened and the marking is at one corner of the sill and the free end of the second line at the other corner of the sill, the sill is aligned in horizontal direction.

An elevator installation includes a first elevator car and a second elevator car, each having a respective braking device, and a safety system that monitors the elevator cars. The safety system has for each braking device a braking force regulating device for regulating a braking force of the respective braking device. The safety system activates at least one of the braking devices by the associated braking force regulating device in order to prevent collision of the first elevator car with the second elevator car.

An elevator system has two elevator cars arranged one over the other, but that can travel independently of each other. Both elevator cars are suspended on suspension and traction mechanisms and each is coupled to a separate counterweight. Both elevator cars have a lower cable, wherein the two lower cables are tensioned by separate tension devices. The lower cable of the first, lower elevator car is fastened to the first elevator car and the first counterweight, The lower cable of the second, upper elevator car is guided at the second elevator car and at least one of the two lower cable ends thereof is secured by a weighted body secured in place with play and/or free-floating.

A supporting belt for a transport device, such as an elevator system, includes at least one stranded wire made of an electrically conducting material for absorbing the forces absorbed by the supporting belt and an electrically insulating jacket that encloses the wire. In order to determine the state of the wire, the wire can be contacted by a contact element securely and reliably and in an exact manner. To achieve this, the jacket is at least partially removed in the area of an opening of the supporting belt and the wire is at least partially exposed in the area of the opening. The wire thus does not include a jacket substantially perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis formed by a center point of a cross-section of the wire. The wire can be contacted by a contact element without the jacket being pierced.
