The present invention relates to a system and a method for weighing a section of a structure (). The system comprises at least one hydraulic weight sensor device (), adapted to be placed in at least one slot () under the section, a pressure sensor () for measuring the pressure in the at least one weight sensor device (), and a hydraulic system comprising at least one pump unit () and at least one valve unit () for pumping hydraulic fluid to and from the at least one hydraulic weight sensor device () through a hydraulic line (). The system further comprises a distance sensor () for measuring the height of the slot (), a control circuit device () for calculating the weight of the section based on measured data received from the pressure sensor (), and for balancing the section on the basis of the measured data received from the pressure sensor () and the distance sensor () by controlling the pump unit () and the valve unit ().

Hydraulic weight-measuring apparatus and method

Method for increasing the distance between two faces, inserting into a space between the two faces a diaphragm power jack, the shape of which being adapted to the shape of the space, the diaphragm power jack comprising two abutting sheets being sealingly bonded along the entire circumference, a pipe penetrating the bonded, injecting a pressurized fluid through the pipe to the interface between the two sheets thereby forcing the sheets apart whereby substantially all the energy from the pressurized fluid being converted to forces perpendicularly to the sheets.
